I just got same no message call. I think new telemarketing call number.

SPAM pretending to be US Treasury - urgent action

Robocall falsely claiming to be from the U.S. Treasury regarding some unknown enforcement action.

I have been getting calls from this number  by a person named David Creg who is saying this is a Department of treasury matter and asking me to call him with some threats about a legal issue. When I called the number and they hung up. It seems like a schem.  Any ideas?

They have called me 5 times today... a fake recording.... so annoying

Appears to be a scammer - someone named David Gray/Craig using scary words like "US Treasury enforcement action", "federal criminal offense", and "magistrate judge". I despise these people.

Been getting several calls a day from these clods.
They don't seem to realise that impersonating a government official is a felony.
If they get caught it's 20 years in the Federal pen.
Hope they get caught real soon. :-)

Answered call in error. Recording saying calling from "US Dept of Treasury" and that there is a warrant out for my arrest for outstanding taxes. Called nbr back and was answered by a "Robert Fisher". He had my name from my phone nbr and told me about the taxes I owed. I screamed at him and told him he is a thief and con artist. The IRS does not call people. He kept insisting he was from the Dept of Treasury and blah blah blah. I screamed at him again. and then he hung up.
I called the nbr again and got a woman named "Caroline" she said the same thing and I told her she was a liar and scam artist & thief. She hung up on me!
Called a 3rd time and got another man, sounded like the first man, and he again tried to say he was calling about taxes I owe. Told him he was a thief and lying scam artist. Also had asked these people what country they were calling from and they kept saying from the USA IRS. He hung up.
Called a 4th time and call answered by "Lisa" who sounded like the first woman. Told her again they are liars and scam artist and I know I do not owe any taxes and that the IRS does not call people. She hung up.
When I tried calling again my call would not go through so hopefully they have removed my nbr from their list.

Call Type should also have Scam Artist in the list.

I got exactly the same message.
What should we do to stop this scan?

I, too, have received a few robo-calls from this number with the same message.  Arggghhh!!

Robo call threatening some type of legal action. Call ID showed that call was from Carmel, NY.

I called this guy out on his scam and he actually called me a coward and said he was in my home sleeping with my wife!!

If anyone finds out who this guy is please let me know!

Thanks everyone for giving a complete description of the message from this number.  I just got home and found two partial voice messages on my phone from the above number.  The recording picked up the minute my phone was connected to theirs, so I only got the last few words.  Since, to my knowledge, there are no US Treasury offices in Carmel, NY, figured it was a scam.   Appreciate all those on this site who gave more detail.

This is the 2nd day and # phone calls just like you all describe....I did not call back. Although tempted. Thank you for all of this support! The caller is from the Carmel, NY area.
