3/23/09  I received a spam email today with the same msg transcribed by "Knitter" on 2/22.  Most spam msgs have websites listed for contact, and this is the first time I've seen this type, which has no website, just the phone number.  

Still a nuisance, but at least these particular jokers aren't wasting my prepaid cell minutes.

FYI: 845 is not a NYC Area Code. 845 is for counties just above southern Westchester County which uses 914.  NYC AC are 212 (with an overlay 646), 718 (with an overlay 347) and 917 (mostly cell phones but there are some Line lines in Manhattan that use it)

Doing googles  and did find a page that reports that this area code is in NYC but this is not correct unless someone in NYC has a number for upstate.  I did found that 845 is for the following areas:

845     New York: Poughkeepsie; Nyack, Nanuet, Valley Cottage, New City, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Ulster and parts of Sullivan counties in New York's lower Hudson Valley and Delaware County in the Catskills

I received the exact Email. Looks fraudulent to me. I bet someone in my office $10 buck that it was a fraud, looked it up, found this site at the top of my google search, and presto I was right.  I didn't collect the $10 however, it did get me a free lunch. Unfortunately, they will scam a few people out of their hard earned money for a degree that they only fantasize about.

Anyone that thinks they can get something, that usually requires a lot of hours to accomplish, for nothing, needs to learn a lesson, hopefully not an expensive one. Something for nothing is as old a scam as it gets. Wake up people! You probably have to send them money upfront, is that a clue? hello

(2) He tends to change domains. So check whether that's stable

(3) Check website and send complain form mails from the website.

I just got an email for this phone number, this time he calls himself "Elmo Bryant".
Just emailed back to all the emails listed here tell Jonathan simply: Do not do this again.

Like I would be interested in a fake degree...
