They've called about a dozen times with a recorded message asking me to press O for more information.  Twice I did this and spoke to a real person, asking them not to call any more.  But they keep calling.  I think it's an electricity-supply company.

Got one yesterday from this number.
These are probably the same spammers using 347-775-2779 as it's the same caller ID.
If you're the spammer reading this: Bugger Off! I never do business with cold/robo-callers.

---> "Please make them stop!" <---

How?  The Teabag Party shut down both the FCC *and* the FTC.  Your local police department can't even access, much less use, any information the FTC has concerning investigations resulting from DNC list complaints.

Oh please, I bet you blame the teaparty ofr Obamacare too, right?  A political party can't shut down a federal government department.  Learn your history and your Constitution.  Your stupid representativfes did this.  I bet you think Republicans are to blame for everything too, right?  Grow up, research things yourself and educate yourself a bit more before you make your ignorant comments.

Pressing 1 to access call removal only hands your number off to a different # from the same company. Then you just keep getting calls from these Bozos tricking you into thinking its someone else. Just don't answer the calls or change your phone # to an unlisted #. Then be careful who you give your # to when filling out any forms or information.

I get these calls too, along with the other spam call numbers. I've written on here about 3 or 4 times. Does writing on here actually do anything or is it to vent?

~ Your reports DO help, ... a Lot of people, like me for instance. I want to thank you and everyone else who takes the time to support this site with their input.
~ I just got a call from this #, too. I looked it up on here to find out if others have said anything about this # and found I'n not alone on this #. I get many calls from Telemarketers and I refuse to answer if I don't recognize the #.
~ We have "CID" and "Private Number Blocking" on our computerized phone system so the people we DO know can get through without letting the TM's through. If it's important, the caller will call back, just like they would if I was not home. I lookup all the unrecognized #'s here and put the ones that have called EVERYONE else too, in my blocked call list on our computer system. Whenever they call again the computer handles it. We now have a list of over 285 TM's, Fraudlent Surveys (TM's), SCAMMERS, etc. Every time one of them calls back, the computer hangs up on them if they're a 'robo-call', or if there is an actual person on the other end, it gives them a message letting them know that "we have revoked their priveledge to use this phone # and that this is all THEY're ever going to hear".
~ The DNC list is the TM's biggest asset. They get 1) Current ACTIVE #'s; 2)  People, not machine #'s; 3) a real person will talk to them, not a message; 4) They can pass this # on to other TM's as verified "GOOD" for money$$. AND they get more $$ for every second YOU stay on the line!! Even if all you do is play the radio into the phone! It's a win/win situation for them. All they have to do is Pretend to be a survey and they can do whatever they want after you have answered a few stupid questoins.
~ SO, unless you want to put your computer to work for you on your phone line like we have done, the best thing for us to do if we don't recognize the callers # is to either not answer, or pick-up & hang-up (Immediately!). And N-E-V-E-R (!) give out ANY information over the phone to someone you do not know! Do NOT push ANY buttons because you don't REALLY know what that actually means on their end, and it shows that a real, live person will interact with any caller who calls them.
