Received a call from this number, but they left no message.

Call from "Windows Headquarters" because if I'm the owner of the computer, then they are calling about malicious software on my computer because I use facebook, do shopping online, watch movies, etc.
I asked if they are calling from Microsoft because it was from "Windows Headquarters" - They explained that Microsoft is a big company and don't have the time to call their customers so these folks are licensed and are calling from "Windows Headquarters"...
I said that they need to help me understand how "Windows Headquarters" was not related to Microsoft.
They hung up!

people have called9-10times claiming they are from microsoft windows its all bogus they are just wanting to get into your computer  do not even talk to them

I also received a call today...my caller ID said John. I wasn't home and message machine was off. I know a few John's but didn't recognize the number so I checked here and saw the other 3 posts. Glad for the heads up.

I got the same call with "John" listed on the caller ID.  Because of the area code number and only a first name, I did not answer.  No message was left.

Been getting a lot of calls lately from folks who need to access my computer to eradicate malware, viruses etc.
DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU!!  They will either infect your system with the stuff they say they're going to eradicate, or they'll lock down your hard drive and ransom you to unlock it.

Also, watch out for "Clayton White" 801-225-4320.  He (they) is using several numbers to attempt the same scam.

They call but do not respond when you answer the phone. Has happened at least a dozen times.

another "microsoft computer owner scam. called 12:53 pm pac time. Told them to get the f off my phone.

Came across as John on the caller ID.  No message left.  Thanks for your help here.  They need to just quit calling and leave us alone.  There are so many scammers out there!

"John" has shown up on my caller ID several times over the last few days.  I don't have an answering machine, just because I got sick of scam messages, and I don't answer calls from names or numbers that I don't recognize.  We are NOT obligated to talk to anyone who calls us, and we are especially not obligated to give any information to anyone for any reason.  I wish this website would add a "scam" choice to the call type menu.

They called wanting to get in my computer.Said they were from Microsoft don't let them in.

just received a call from these freakin' scam artists.Came up as John 845-842 7115 on the caller ID.Some very rude woman with an East Indian/Pakistani sounding accent tried to tell me she was from Microsoft and she was calling about a problem with my computer...don't get snookered/scammed by these scoundrels!!! Hopefully these dreadful people will all go to hell someday.

Called and said they were from microsoft.  They are scammers.  Told them they are scammers and not to bother calling again.

Got called from this number around 7.30p Eastern. No message. Caller ID says John. Also, I know a lot of Johns but none  associated with this number. Thanks for letting me know this is SPAM. Blocking number now.

Received a call from this number and they left a message.  Said I was facing criminal charges and possible dentention.  Yeah, right!

Answering machine w/caller ID showed "John" called on 05/11/15 at 10:54 AM. When I arrived home, I found my PC was booted up. Have also recieved calls in the last couple of weeks from 354-238-0000, 355-236-0000, 357-239-0000, and 358-238-0000 (notice the pattern with the numbers) all from "windows", and on one of those times found my PC on. Are these coincidences or are they able to remotely turn on my PC?

Said I was interested in grant. No I didn't apply for any grants. They hung up

Said that they were calling from my pharmacy, and acted like they had access to my medical records.  When I told them that my number was on the government's "Do Not Call" list, and requested for them to remove me from their list, the gentleman I was speaking with told me he couldn't help me with that because they were a pharmacy.  This is a scam, report this number if you receive a phone call.

They have bugged me constantly. Decided to check out this #. Glad I did. They get no more of my time. Calls sometime from "California" and sometimes "Texas". Nearly impossible to understand the foreign dialect. Hang up.
