This is a scam

"IT Department" calling about a problem with my computer.  Please everyone, do not fall for this scam.  They will try and take over your computer.  They usually call claiming to be Microsoft saying that your computer is infected with a virus.

Microsoft  scam...they even had my full name from an address  I had not lived at in 4 years....my guess they are going through the white pages abd picking out numbers.

got 2 call from 846-364-3273 representing "tech support america" in las vegas,nv. wanted to help me on soft ware  hacking

Folks - why are you answering a call from podunk S Carolina?
Not to worry - we have had this area code blocked for nearly 1 year.
No calls from the "846" can make our phones ring.
Please do not answer unknown calls and don't attempt to call them back - that will confirm that you have a working phone number.

The caller said my last name wrong...So knew they didn't know me & their connection was breaking up. I hung up on them & searched the internet for this number. So stinkin' tired of scammers! Wish the government would block these numbers!

This call was ringing through on my call waiting while another scammer was on the phone with me! I have a phone to call & receive calls from people i know or am doing business with...Not all of these scammers & people i am no way gonna trust to do business with.

Received a call from same number as others here.  Been hacked & scammed once already.  Be vigilant folks.  Scum bags never stop.

Spam call from "Tech Support America" don't fall for anything these scumbags have to say - if you can understand them.
The women who called was incredible rude and when I asked to be taken off their call list, she replied with I can not do that.. WHAT are you kidding? I don't want you calling me. I asked her again politely and then she startled rambling on and I repeated one more time please take me off you call list, I am not interested and you have no way of knowing anything that is going on with my computer you said so yourself. And she hung up on me. To be completely honest if someone was going to scam me.. shouldn't they at least speak english. I really hope they get shut down.

The receivers have more power to put these crooks out of business than anyone else. If nobody answered unknown numbers in any way, these guys can do nothing but fold up.

Scumbags called this evening and I made the mistake of answering the phone.  Unknown caller.  Pure scam.

Same thing just happened to me.   Call kept breaking up.  Sounded like a terrible cell connection.  Said they were calling in regards to my computer.  Strong middle eastern accent.  Just don't answer.

Keep calling my cell phone daily...I don't answer, but they just keep calling.  When I did answer, there was no one there and they hung up.  Just added it to my "not go through" numbers.

Left it to ring and checked here.
