Someone from this number has called our office several times also, asking for the boss. After refusing to leave a message and saying he'd call back later (quite abruptly) a few times, he asked for my boss's cel number. I said I could take his number and have my boss call him when he had time and he just hung up. Always said his name and company so quickly I couldn't get it, asked him to repeat it and he just kept asking for boss.
Yep, same here deal! First he asked for an executive that is no longer with the company (so I knew it was a solicitor, why else would there info be out-dated), then he asked for a manager. I asked "what services does your company provide and maybe I can point you in the right direction" and he followed very upset "we don't offer any services" I replied "our office has srict policies reguarding solicitation" and I hung the phone up. He called three more times that day, but I haven't heard from him since. The nerve of some people!!!
IPA out of Buffalo Grove IL. They try to shove their "services" down your throat and are down right harrasing. They have called us at least 10 to 15 times and even a rep stopped by our business which is over 100 miles away from Buffalo Grove IL. You can google them all over the internet and seems like whatever their consulting services they sell they never really bring it up in the sales pitch. Just a sneaky high pressure tactics and it doesn't fly with me. BEWARE!!!!!! Just read about them on the web. Nuff said.
they call us (business) at least twice a week. I have called the number back...rings and rings. Not sure if a rep will stop by? :) Will read further online - thx RJ
Just rec'd a call from IPA and had to hang up on them. The guy asked to speak to my boss. I screen my boss' calls so had to ask who was calling and why they were calling. The guy thinks my company sold printers and I told him we did not. Then he asked to speak to my boss again and I again asked the reason for the call - so basically he tried to make me feel like crap. Like I am going to let a call through to my boss from someone who wants to get our business and treats the first person of contact like that. No thanks!
Called, said name was Scott Roberts. Asked for my boss, when I said he wasnt here, asked for his cell phone #. When I asked what it was about he said some welding that we were doing for him. I still figured telemarketer, but I told him he could just try back later, and he was nasty rude, said he wouldnt call back later because he was going to give his business to the guy down the street. He was a jerk!!!!!
Check this out. They came and talked to my bosses....what a scam. They will 'save you money' but you spend more on them then they can save you and they are an American company, totally unfamiliar with Canadian laws.
CAller "Julie Jennings" will not leave any information asks to speak to a boss then shouts rude comments at you, really the most awful and unprofessional person to ever call our lines and Ive been doing this for 15 years! Watch out! How does she sleep at night? You couldnt pay me enough to be so mean to people!
Just got a call from a guy at that number. Sounded like a party going on in the background, so I could hardly hear him. Asked if we're able to take on more design work, asked how many people we have working here. Wants to pop by next week with information. We'll see what happens, but I smell a rat.
its gonna cost you big time they say they will solve all your problems and make you a lot more money.....$15-30k later all they do is change a few things around and you pay the govmnt more so it looks like you are making more on paper and you pay them $250 per person per hour plus travel-1st class air rental car hotel and meals.......They are bullies
Yes rude and seem to get very upset when they get blocked by someone just answering the phone. I told the guy that he is very good at trying to get through but I am better at blocking. They keep calling and changing their name but I always check the caller id #. I think from now on I'll just pickup the line and hangup immediately. They call our company at least 2x per week.
They called again. Twice today actually. They asked for my business partner, and when I told them he was away she attempted to cut the call short and hang up. I wasn't about to let that happen. I tore a strip off of that woman. Whatever crap they're selling, I'm not buying, so stop wasting my time and yours. Apparently they're opening new offices near me and they offer over 300 services to help my business grow. Ya, whatever. I told her about this site and the complaints. I told her someone was supposed to stop by the office this week and it didn't happen, so as far as I'm concerned, not only is this some type of scam, but a poorly orchestrated one. I told her to take our number off her list. She told me that we could be losing out on contracts by not using their service. She didn't even know what kind of business we run. I think it's a risk I'm willing to take.
I THINK I HAVE THE SOLUTION!! I just spent five minutes on the phone with this guy from IPA. I told him I would keep taking their calls and wasting their time with no chance of them making a sale. I will talk to them for a half hour and waste their time so their productivity goes down--and then their boss will be on their backs. I told him I was semi-retired and had more time than he had to waste on the telephone. After five minutes of this he told me my number is off the list!! Hooray!
got a call from this number - for like the one thousandth time - seems like no matter how many times you tell them NO - they just don't get it - this IPA is a bunch of jerks who talk down to the people who answer the phone as if they are dirt - other way around. I finally told them that if they called again I would have them charged with harrasement!
Asking for the owner rude and harrassing. They refuse to be professional and want to arrange a meeting with the owner specifically. I defuse the call every time..
