- SSI Idiots| 5 repliesToo many calls to count. Digital readout is SSI and 847.350.1523. Answer and it's a click. Must be jerks with something up their sleeve that's not something we'd like. Don't answer the phone. Not the Social Security office that's for sure.
- Tamianth replies to SSI Idiots| 4 repliesThis is SSI Survey Sampling, a marketing research company. To get removed from their call list: URL is http://www.surveysampling.com/.
Keep in mind that if they do not place you on their internal DNC list, they can still get into trouble. As a rule, survey's are exempt from the DNC though. Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or under. - DanThey are at it again. Started calling again, and again, and again...
- Miss P(issed) replies to Tamianth| 1 replyNot spending $50 to block them....cheaper to ignore calls. I've had 3-4 calls, last one I screamed into the phone to stop calling me. Made me feel good, but I am sure it fell on deaf ears!
- Tamianth replies to Miss P(issed)No one say's you need to. Its only one solution to part of the problem.
- SUnbelievable! They called first on a Sunday evening 4/19/15 at 8:15 p.m. I blocked the call. They called back on a different number 847-350-1523 SSI at 8:30 p.m.

- JOEThis number 847-350-1523 SSI calls all the time. They just called 2x in the last 2 minutes. Maybe I should

- BreeThis SSI number calls my house several times a day. I just hang up on them
all the time. But when they call on a Sunday night thats too much. STOP THEM- Caller: SSI
- Rich| 1 replySSI 847-350-1523 has been calling my house for months several times a day. We never
answer this call. It is severely annoying for them to continue to call 2-3 times in a row.
How many complaints do they need for them to stop this???- Caller: SSI
- BigA replies to RichBy law, they only need one complaint to stop calling you ( that would be your complaint). Tamianth has posted the information., I would follow that up with a certified, return receipt letter. Then if they continue to call, find a consumer lawyer and sue them under the TCPA.
- JohnRec'd periodic calls from this number. Just ignore

Here, as per Tamianth:
For a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Charities, along with some Survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards. Some states have different laws in regards to the calls, which can differ from the federal.
