This is a survey company, Accurate Data Marketing, inc. doing a survey for Chase Credit card holders (which i am) and they knew my name when they called. If you qualify they pay you to come in and do a suvey in a research office.  This particular group was being held on Fellowship Rd. in Mt. Laurel.  I'll report back in December if it is legit since i am scheduled for Dec. 2nd.

This was legit, i went in to a local focus group at an established firm, i and 5 others did a focus group on credit cards etc, and they paid us each 225$ cash.  They got my name from my credit card company because they were trying out a new marketing approach and wanted to see how it would go over with their card holders.  Of all the calls that i have looked up and reported over the last couple of years, this is the first one that was actually a real call and not a scam.  I am very suspicious of everyone that calls my phones...

Excellent info above, let me know more about the people before I decided to give them a call back.  Will also try to check in latter to report on legitness of call.

They're offering me $50. No Chance! But $225 would be a different story!

I was nervous because they were asking about my credit cards, but I looked up where I'm supposed to go and it's a legit company downtown Chicago.  Anytime someone wants to pay me $150 for 2 hours of my time I'll take it!

They asked me about 8 mins of questions and said I was over quota in one area, but they might be able to use me and would call back.

Numerous calls leaving no message... 26th July received call and left a message. Said they were from Dept of Vet Affairs. (a lie) it is the same DATA MINING COMPANY. They want me to participate in a group study for $75.00 for 90 minutes. Makes me wonder of the legitamacy of the poster above (top three post.)


Nothing to hide just not into people mis-representing themselves for a so called focus group = dishonesty!

I also received this call yesterday and I'm supposed to be going in for the same VA 90 Marketing Seminar on the 2nd of Aug. 2010. I have researched a little and noticed it is a company but I too am skeptical of the legitimacy of them. I knew of a friend that was under the same criteria as I even went to Iraq with me but he instead, was not able to attend the seminar because "They must stick to the list they have of names". I will do further research and post anything else that may be useful.

This company, Accurate Data Marketing,  is very legitimate, I have been doing studies with them for years, and they always pay top dollar.  You do have an answer a list of questions to see if you qualify, and if they have room in that slot where you qualify, they schedule you.

And yes, sometimes they have to travel to other locations besides their offices, it depends on where their clients are located and where they want to do the studies.  Going into a hotel meeting room is not uncommon.

I think the least amount I have every been paid was $75.00

They receive your information from you when you sign up or if someone refers you to them.

I would prefer not to receive the phone calls.

I received a phone call from Accurate Data Marketing and they offered me $90 for a 45 minute phone interview. In order to qualify I had to answer 10 minutes worth of questions. I qualified and set up a time today but they never called me. They just wasted 10 mintues of my time answering questions + I sat around for 30 minutes waiting for them to call. Lame! Don't accept their offer.

I recieved a call from  Mary Ann who allegedly works for Accurate Data Marketing. She claimed the if I answered several questions, I would be selected to participate in a focus group and be paid $125.00.

I answered her questions that pertained to identity theft and banking, in this case, Chase Bank. I asked her to verify her identity, whereby she was reluctant, despite reminding her that I was answering her questions and had never spoken to her in my life!  She proceeded to tell me she liked the answers to my questions and to please hold while she checked with her supervisor. Approx 40 seconds later she came back online and told me "Sorry, The focus group is now full, but don't worry, you may be selected for another one that's forming soon"

In a nutshell, this smells of a scam! They promise you money to keep you on the phone, get the information for their market research, then proceed to tell you "Sorry, the focus group is full, goodbye! Total B.S! Use good judgement and hang-up the phone the next time someone calls with this line!

Received similar call from ACM - $175 for 1 hr 45 minutes of time.  This is in the Baltimore area (a little far off from Chicago).  And they are holding the focus group at Baltimore Research, 8320 Bellona Ave, Suite 210 | Baltimore, Maryland 21204, (410) 583-9991.

No scam...  It is a marketing research company.  I participated in 2 focus groups with them.  Both paid at least $75.  It was fun and I enjoyed giving my opinion.

I got a call from this company today. Like the posters above, they asked me several questions to determine if I qualify for their survey.

The questions pertained to credit card usage for my business, gross income for the business, email and mailing address, but they didn't tell me which business (I have 2) and he didn't seem to know that I have more than one. So he made me pick one.

So far, it seems legit and there was nothing asked that I felt could compromise my identity/credit.

They let me pick the time the survey will be conducted by phone this upcoming Thurs. or Fri.

I was told I would receive correspondence from them this week to confirm or register for the survey.

$150 for 30 mins. and I'm not overly skeptical since I have been paid $100 for 1 hour for something similar before, but I will definitely report back about my experience with this company.

I got an unwanted call asking for my husband on my cell phone - then they said they'd pay $300 for some survey. I think it's BS phishing of some kind.  Claimed i twas a Ritz Carlton survey

I do not want them to call either one of us again nor our home phone!  We are supposed to be on a no-call list

This company is legit!

I just got my check today for $150. The survey was about my business credit card usage.

The survey took about 15 mins.

I have nothing but good things to say about Accurate Data Marketing. The process was easy and I hope they call me again!!!!
