can you stop [***] calling my phone?

This is Portfolio Recovery Associates, a disreputable collection agency that calls from many different phone numbers. Sometimes they will leave a voice message, but for someone else, not me.
Others have stated that when they answer the call and say that they have the wrong number that the Portfolio employee becomes nasty.

Every time they call, I file a complaint with the FTC. It seems to make the calls go away for about a month, then they start again from a new number.

this same number (847-994-2553) calls me 3 or 4 times a day. i'm usually at work so i not home to answer it. the caller ID name is: "Franklin Par IL", which I assume is Franklin Park, Illinois.

This number calls me three times a day on my cell phone.

i get 20 to 30 calls a day. with no one at the other end of the line.

Please refrain from calling MANY times a day. I call it "harassment."

They say they are ADT Security.

I've been getting calls from these people these passed couple of months.   I've been unemployed for quite a while, so I've been getting the checks in the mail.  Recently my unemployment checks were reduced from $256 to $43 a week.  I've explained to them that I've been looking for work and I can't make up any kind of payment.   They were willing to work with me.  They were giving me before the end of the month to make at least a $100 payment. If I could do that they would reduced my payment for the rest.  And if I couldn't make it, just call them and they said they could extend it. I said sure that sounded like a good idea.   I confirmed my information, then when they asked for a routing number I stopped them right there and told them I wasn't giving out that information.  The caller said that would mean I was refusing to cooperate and  it could mess up my credit (which it already is after a year and a half).  Right now, the only thing concerned about is keeping a roof over my head and keeping my phone on for job prospects.  Collections will have to wait.

They call my house looking for me multiple times but if i answer they hang up or dont even talk but if my spouse picks up he will play their game and talk to them trying to get information and nothing. i have no clue who these people are or what they want.

This phone number calls numerous times a day seven days a week.
When you answer you can sometimes hearing someone breathing but they say nothing. I am reporting to the FTC.

If you make ANY arrangement with these scoundrels, make sure it is in writing before sending a pennny.  They are famous for agreeing to a settlement and then, once that is paid, selling the balance to another agency who will then start all over again with the harrassment!

They keep calling, no messages ever left that I can tell. I picked up once and answered with no response. I have no idea what they are calling about or who they are calling for since I never get any type of message to know. Happens at all different times of day as well.

How in the world are you able to block all those numbres? The maximum I can block is 12 is there some program that allows unlimited blocking? If so could you please provide a link to that item.

Yes it is the Porfolio people... they call all the time-and sometimes they say they are an investigator--trying to panic you in for info.

I use "Extreme Call Blocker" for the Android phone.  Everytime I get a call from these people I just add that number to my "black list" and the caller gets hung-up on therefore it doesn't go to my voicemail.  Most of the time I never even see my phone ring it just discretely hangs up on them.
