Credit scam, "last chance" etc recording

Called me and left a message. It was all silence. Scammers

I have a phone that allows 'out of area' calls to be blocked! I love that!

Not home for the call, no message left. Looked up the number to find out who called and Google brought me here...read the posts and appears to be a credit scam call-we register yearly at the site that's supposed to protect us from such calls but,we still get them anyway-very annoying!

Am tired of the "last chance" call re: interest on my credit cards. They call my home phone, my cell phone.... I am on the DO NOT call lists and yet this scammer gets through several times each and every week.
I have tried in vain to contact them, I have asked them not to call (they hang up each and every time when I begin to ask this)......... I am more than fed up wasting my cell phone minutes along with my time....... ANY ideas?

I too register my phones and yet this whack company gets through over and over and over again. They are rude and refuse to stop calling.

Answered call from this company in an attempt to find out who they are. Selected the option to speak to a 'friendly representative'.I was informed my call was 2nd in line. Line was answered "Are you calling to find out about our low rates?" I replied, "no, i'm calling to find out who this company is". They very rudely cut me off. I immediately called this nbr back and was informed that the mailbox is full , please call back at another time. Obviously a SCAM. No reputable company would withhold their identity.

Been receiving calls from this number a few weeks now. I normally make a police report when scammers won't quit. I told this guy I was reporting him and he told me to f£"!k myself. The deputy just left. Last four I reported got fined. The DNC List is for our protection but we must make the effort. Telemarketers are scum and I will report every one that calls!

It is an encouraging surprise that you've been successful in getting telemarketers fined. Most of them have figured out how to hide identities, even where they are really calling from. The "Don't Call" list worked pretty well for awhile, but only until the bad guys found a way around it. Did the police notify you that these companies were fined or was it someone else?

Same thing happened to me today.  I'm sick of these calls...the message sounds like I've screwed my account up and "this is the last time" I'll have an opportunity to clear this up...blah blah blah.  Nasty woman hung up on me when I told her to take me off their calling list.  Would LOVE to know how to nail these people!

Really?  I can file a police report on these callers?

Fourth call to day from 4 different " lower your interest rate" scams.  All hang up when you ask to be removed.

Last chance to fix your credit report.  It is a scam.

Calls of this nature have been being made by scammers for something like 2 years now.   The fact that you are on
the National or Local Do Not Call list make no difference to these scum...The only callers who honor the DNC list
are legitimate businesses.   Check with your phone company to see if they offer a "Selective Call Blocking" feature.
There are also some telephone instruments (Panasonic, for one) which have a "Block" key for shutting off unwanted
calls.   I have the Selective Call Blocking feature on our phone, which works..to a point...It will only let you store
up to 12 numbers, which is not nearly enough.

I let the machine pick up and they usually hang up. Attempts to call it back to request removal results in "leave a message", followed immediately by " the mailbox is full, please try again later".

I report each and every call to the do not call registry, just to show them how many calls are getting through. Doesn't matter if they call once or more than once in a day, I just bombard them with filing a complaint constantly.

I have a whistle ready to go if the calls continue.

I am continually getting these annoying calls.  There is nothing wrong with my credit card and I am on the DO NOT CALL list but they continue to call and DO NOT give you the option to be removed from the call list.  Please report these people and make them stop!

BEWARE!!!!  A total scam!!!  The recording said that this was my last opportunity to lower my credit card interest rate to 6% as long as my balance was at least $4K and my payment history was in good standing for the last 6 months. I was curious but cautious, so I pressed #1 to speak to a rep.  The guy I spoke with (heavy New York/New Jersey accent and tried to be all buddy-buddy with me and restated the offer asking me if my combined CC balances were over $4K and if my payment history with at least one of the cards was in good standing.  I told him that I only carry a balance with one CC, my Platinum AMEX Optima and that my balance was in excess of $20K - interest rate of 12.9%. He asked about payment history and I told him the truth, that I've had perfect payment history for more than a decade with AMEX - actually ever since I first got the card in 1988.  The scammer asked me for the toll free number listed on the back of my CC - "to verify what region the card was issued in" which is absurd - but I read it to him as it seemed harmless enough. That's when the scammer actually **asked me for my Amex card number**!!! When I asked him why he needs my AMEX number, he told me it was to verify that I actually owed the amount I said I owed - as if I'd be lying about admitting that I owed $20K?   He told me that he needed it to bring up my balance and payment history on his computer screen - as if AMEX would just give his company direct access to my account history without any written or verbal prior authorizations on my end.  That's when I told him that ***I never give my CC account number out over the phone*** and furthermore, I had no idea who his company even was.  He tried to convince me that he couldn't use or do any damage to my AMEX account having "only the CC number" and that giving him my CC account number was totally safe as long as I didn't tell him my expiration date and security code -which is total BS!!  I was in front of my computer, so even though I already knew this was a scam, I asked him for the name of his company so I could look it up for verification - he told me it was "card services" - well, for those of you reading this who don't know - every credit card issuer can be and is referred to as "card services" at some point, so I pressed him for the actual name of his company or company website.  He told me it was called "CDT" and then just seconds later, he hung up on me. The SCAMMER must have finally realized that he not gonna scam me.  I was just trying to get as much info on this fake company as possible.  This SCAMMER FAILED!!  BEWARE!!  JKK - Scottsdale, AZ

Remove my number from your list!!! I don not want any damn phone calls from you!!! You are not on my list of people I want to hear from. I am on the Do Not Call List and  that means-DO NOT CALL ME!!!
