Call received 11:40AM 07/09/2012.  Classic robo-call aimed at Medicare recipients, seniors with back pain, etc.  Filed my complaint with:

Monica and Hank, thanks for the feedback. I have stopped answering calls that look suspicious and appreciate being able to follow up with what others have said. I will follow through with Do Not Call, to which I subscribe. Do you think they really help?

Caller ID data read “Dom Republ Call”  it was a prerecorded message asking if someone in the family had diabeteies and Medicare.  I traced the number through online databases and found the number does not actually exist so more than likely the caller ID info and number was spoofed and the call was an attempt to elicit personal information for a scam or a way for the caller to verify my phone number anonymously, either way it's illegal, I filed a complaint with the FCC here: https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action?form_type=1088B

Call came at about 2pm.  Recorded message about products for diabetes or back pain if I was on Medicare.  Said to press "2" to get off the list - so I did - and a man answered.  I asked him if it was a private company - and he hung up.  I called it back, and the line is busy.  I then registered a complaint with the FCC "donotcall.gov" site and called my phone company to alert them and put a notation on my account, in case my phone number is hijacked.  Because I pressed "2", they may have "verified" my number - and could possibly use it for other illegal activity - so I suggest people not press any number - no matter what.  Phone company said the FCC does follow up on these phony calls - I guess we'll see.

I no longer file a complaint with the Do Not Call agency that is useless they do nothing to stop these calls. I would advise all of you, do not call them back, they will have your name and number, that will give them more information they can scam you with. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!

Wife answer and after talking gave me phone.  Wanted to send us diabetic and back pain supplies.  No charge but needed our medicare/Humana Insurance info.  Would not answer question like "what kind of supplies".  Told him we get all medical supplies through company own by Humana.  Twisted my words around and kept insisting on information. I got rather short with him telling him again, that all our supplies comes from a Humana own company.  He then hung up.  Have told my wife repeatedly; don't answer the phone if owner of number is hidden as in this case showed "name not found".  Let it go to answer machine, if it is a legal company, they will leave a message and we would then call them back; other wise it is not someone we want to talk to.   Think maybe she got the message this time.  DON'T ANSWER THIS NUMBER AND DON'T CALL IT BACK.   COMPLETE SCAM!!!

I work nights and calls from this number wakes me and I can't get back to sleep.  Is there anything  anyone can do to stop theses annoying calls?

thanks y'all, had been getting no name calls about 2;00 P M a few days. this time it showed this #, figured as much. i always let it go to the answering machine, if I don't know who it is, and go on-line to see, later.

Medicare phishing SCAM.

There is a way to block calls directly, but only 12 numbers per line. Dial *60 and then follow the menu.

If you want  to block the last number called, I think you can simply press #01# and the number is blocked.

Also, your cell phone carrier will block numbers made to your cell phone, so that's a help.

And finally, I did a block on my caller i.d. *67 and called one of these numbers back to make sure it wasn't from someone I knew (the number looked familiar, and I had friends in that area code). I tested to make sure my caller I.D. was blocked by calling our second line, and it was. So I proceeded. Now I am seemingly getting more calls from a variance of this exchange. Today it was 313-203-8198, and the caller i.d. said ACS (American Cancer Society.) But on another website, it sounded as though it was the same scammers as the number being discussed here.

Another distinguished addition to my call block list. I would have liked to ask how hot it is in the boiler room they are calling from, but didn't have the time. Hope it is no less  than 130; that will condition them for what awaits them in the afterlife.

Received call from 849-963-3222 at 1:02 pm CDT July 11, 2012. Only rang twice than hung up before I could answer it.

Called received a 1:50 PM PDT, 7/10/12 but no one was on the calling end.  I assume that the caller wanted me to call back, but not recognizing the area code, fortunately I did not. Checked and learned the call was from the Dominican Republic

Yes, file a complaint with the 'do-not-call' list however they take very little if any action against continued callers.  Better to file directly with the FCC, if they receive a certain number of calls against a particular number, they will act against them.  Please save the link and pass to friends, help put an end to these scum!

Received a call from 849-963-3222 which was in regards to diabetes and back pain.  I am on the do-not call listed so how are these calls making their way to our phone number?  I want this call reported.

The number 849-963-3222 calls us very day 2 to 4 times a day.  At first we would answer and it would disconnect. Then we let it roll over to the answering machine. As soon as the machine picks up they disconnect.

Someone suggested going to https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx. We did and file a complaint.

Received two call from this number, 849-963-3222, within the past two days--very annoying. It seems that they are located in the Dominion Republic.
