- CFdiabetic message
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MaryCalled the last 2 days. When answer machine picks up they hang up. Stop calling.
- spam freethis medicare scammer can go piss up a rope...useless parasite on soceity
- DB| 6 repliesThis number has called several times but I never answer as Caller ID says it is from the D republic call - I know no one there so it is a scam - but I wish I could figure out away to make the calls stop! and how do they get our phone numbers - I am on the No Call List - evidently that doesn't do any good!!!!
- dib replies to DBIt is a scam as you mentioned. You should also know that scam callers do not obey the do not call registry and will call anyone they damn well please. Also, even if it were legit, the Do Not Call Registry, aka FTC, has no authority over calls originating in other countries, I.e. Dominican Republic.
Go to the DNC/FTC site and read/learn about it...or if you feel it's best for you, opt out.... - desdogsRec'd call early this a.m., no message left, I don't answer unknown #'s ~ & no, nothing can be done about the idiots calling, but if we don't answer eventually, they'll give up!
- may| 1 replyreceived a call( a recording) from this number 849-963-4873 about if I were a senior and need diabetic supplies, stay on line..if I did not want any more calls from this number to push 2, which I did, a young female voice actually answered and I told her to please take my number off the list, she said something I could not understand and then hung up. I then called the number back, recording said I had reached a number not in service. These calls are very ANNOYING and something should be done...I have registered not to have these type of calls but apparently it doesn't apply to ALL calls.
People trying to scam others are the lowest.- Caller: name unavailable
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MSMSMy caller ID said Name Not Found -- that's a new one. I got the same diabetic senior stuff too. This is so annoying. Caller ID is one of the best inventions yet. Usually, I just ignore it, but this time I was by my only phone that doesn't have the ID working anymore.
- Caller: Name Not Found
- notamarxist| 1 replythank you, GOVERNMENT MEDICAL DATA BASE for selling names to these dirtbags. think the usg is honest and would never do such a thing? if so, there are also jerks in florida that want to call you so they can get you to invest in their "thriving new developement". it is located in a swamp.
- Caller: dominican republic
- JohnMy caller ID said "D Republic Call." I blocked a call from the Dominican Republic. It's scam - telemarketer I'm sure. No message and only rang three times. I can't believe phone calls have fallen this far.
- Caller: D Republic Call
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Blocker replies to DB| 2 repliesThe best stop is Google Voice. You have to ring your home phone concurrently with the Google number. Google then blocks the call when you mark it BLOCK. The first call gets thru, after you mark it BLOCK they're gone.
- Will Louviere| 2 repliesIs there any way to find out who is placing these calls and get them to stop? This call is apparently from the Dominican Republic although I get calls from different area codes in the U.S. as well. I have signed up on the "do not call" list a couple of times but still get these type calls.
- Sherman BayI answered, but said nothing. After about 5 seconds, this recorded message was played: "Hello. This is an urgent Medicare message. If you are a senior suffering from diabetes or back pain, press 1 to see how you qualify for healthcare products at no cost to you..."
I pressed 1, and was shortly connected to a human being who said only "Hello," with a distinctly unfriendly tone. I felt like I was interrupting his nap time. When I politely asked how he could help me, he hung up without saying anything more.- Caller: D REPUBLIC
- Call type: Telemarketer
- don replies to notamarxistI get these calls and I am not diabetic....Perhaps your tin foil hat is too tight.
- kevin replies to Will Louviere| 1 replyWe all are getting them and all feel the same way. Being a foreign country, the Dominican Rep. as well as Jamaica phone callers are not obligated by the DNC. They can call all they want and anyone they want. Scammers in the U.S. always spoof their calls to show a legitimate business or something not related to them. That's who so many believe that it is Legitimate businesses actually doing the calling. The DNC Registry is permanent. Once signed, always signed until you OPT out. Please go to the DNC/FTC site and read/learn how it operates and about all of the exemptions and who it covers and who it doesn't and who can call you under certain circumstances, and who is required to purchase the list. It can save you a lot of misundestanding thus promoting discontent. It is nothing mechanical or magical that will block all of your unwanted calls. It will not immunize you against anyone.... It is simply a list with your phone number on it, that is required to be purchased by all businesses who use telemarketing for profits. Those who are honest will not, and do not call. If they do, they are indeed fined. They are easily located because they are legal permanent businesses who have permanent addresses, actual phone number listings, and must abide by all of the anchoring requirements and proprieties that a consumber based business must have. The FTC can find them by picking up a phone book. Scammers spoof their calls and are hidden.
Telemarketing=Telephone sales of taxable goods or services.
It will not block calls. It is only a list to keep those legitimate businesses who are honest.......honest. As in a Stop sign, only the lawful will stop. Scammers and the unlawful will call you regardless of the DNC and only God and a good call blocking unit can hold them at bay. Hope this helps, it's not what everyone wants to hear, some will always complain, but that's how it is.......A simple List. - Kevin replies to kevinCorrections: there are a few words such as Who instead of why and consumber instead of consumer that are mistypes. Many times all of us are type faster than we should and the fingers don't works as well.
My apologies to all. - not going to disclosegot call from this number....cant call back spam....idenity theft......I am on a no......no.....no....call list.
