Very strange message - "E, please press 1" in a male's voice, followed by a female voice "If you are not E, please press 2".  Then the call disconnected.

They left a recording/ voice prompt on VM. "If you are *name*... press 1, if you are not *name*... press 2". Obviously no selection was made on VM, and the call ended.
    Number is from Pensacola FL

Called left a VM that the wife says was for someone else. I accidentally erased while trying to listen because of the long gap between the answering machine answering and them leaving a message. Well it wasn't for me anyway.

the  number is from a biased  slanted  political survey group which only wants the owner of the phone service owner to answer and respond to the questions, if you are NOT that person they hang up...What kind of an honest and sincere political survey is that ?   Smells and sounds fishy to me

Did you hear the survey questions? They called me, but I hung up before pressing 1 or 2.

    M -- again
They called again with the same VM. Since they don't identify themselves, and I don't care to confirm or deny my identity to unknown entities, I decided to file a complaint with donotcall.gov.
I now see here that others answered and it's a political call, but they should still identify themselves in their message, and also give an option to opt out altogether.
I guess until elections, we are stuck receiving all these call on phones we pay for, thanks to the politician's brilliant foresight in excluding themselves from the DNC list.

They started calling my number about 2 weeks ago, and call every 1/2 hour to 1 hour from 8:00am till 9:00 pm, without a break. Now that I read it is a political I will say something about their mother and hang up.

Please realize that political calls do not fall under the DNC.  What you need to do is tell them you do not want to receive their calls, and make sure you do a opt out with all the political parties.  Then, if you receive calls, go that persons web site and under their contact us page, write them and tell them to place you on their internal dnc list and also there is a political do not call you can sign up for. I did and also tell them to use that list and give them the url for it. I have not gotten any calls for years now.  Not even political survey's.  So it does help to follow the steps.

The other thing that will help, if you have a cell phone, if it doesn't already have call blocking, there are free call blocking apps online you can get for some phones. If you have a land line, google call blocking devices. There are phones also available with call blocking but they do not hold as many numbers as devices do. Many of the devices run around 50.00 or less.

Calls every 90 mins day in and out, so at least five times per day.  Call is blocked, but still must ring once...very annoying as they start by 9am and call into the evening.  Thanks for the info that it is political.  Not gonna get my vote!
