- J. Byers| 1 replyDefinite scam! David Grey wants to help me with a US treasury action against me. This is a second attempt to alert me before I will be forced to appear before a magistrate or grand jury. The message repeats several times but never mentions my name or the nature of the action. He called twice today.
- Caller: David Grey

Definite scam! Robo Caller with accent wants to help me with a US treasury action against me. This is a second attempt to alert me before I will be forced to appear before a magistrate or grand jury. The message repeats several times but never mentions my name or the nature of the action. Called 3 times so far today.- Call type: Telemarketer
- J. ByersDON'T ANSWER, DON'T CALL BACK
Since my previous report they have called another 4 times today. If you wait for the end of the messages, you hear a woman say good bye. Don't call the number because they could get your name from your caller ID. - Timothy PetricIRS threat
- Camille ColladoThis number is a robo call and consistently calls our home. I am on the do not call list.
- M. AldridgeDo Not Answer or Reply to this scam!!!!!! Same experience as the other posts. David Grey just called 5 minutes ago. First call for me so far. I am sure many more will follow.

- JparsGot the call from David Gray...shady
- Greg S,Can they do anything with just your name? My wife called back and gave them her name, but that's it. What can they do with that?
- DaveI think this is the IRS scam that Consumer Report did a story about. People fall for this and get a lot of money taken.
- edScam scam scam.
- Caller: out of area
- Gregory tolonenCaller is leaving the same message as others are reporting that there is a US Treasury action against me and I need to return his call.
- Dan G.I received a call from this number and didn't answer it. After checking my Voice Mail it was David Grey stating he wants to help me with a US treasury action against me. This is a second attempt to alert me before I will be forced to appear before a magistrate or grand jury. The message repeats several times but never mentions my name or the nature of the action. I did call the number back and spoke with someone else and he said that he worked with David Grey. I called him out and told him to send the sheriff after me and that he wall full of it and he hung up. I now have the number blocked.
- Ed H.My call fit the general pattern. David Grey or someone using that name said that I was facing magistrate action if I didn't call him back quickly. He said that it was a second attempt. It could be a very scary call except for a couple of things.
First of all, there had been no first attempt to take care of this matter.
Secondly, and far more importantly, no matter serious enough to end up with you being called in front of a magistrate would ever be handled over the phone. You would receive the notices by registered mail.- Caller: company name was not understandable
- Theresa DeBildtMy name is David Gray will Treasury Dept is taking action against me call back immediatley
- Caller: unknown
- KR| 2 repliesSame David Gray IRS scam. Blocked the number. Will see if it cycles to a new one. I feel bad for the elderly that will buy into this. My mom is 88 and gets confused and upset by these calls. Wish there was a way to protect against them.
- Caller: David Gray
- Badge714 replies to KR| 1 replyWith Christmas just around the corner maybe you would consider buying an elderly parent a call blocking device. Make sure you get one that will block area codes as well as individual numbers. In a few weeks, while Tom Turkey is surrounded by friends (and cranberries), you could set it up. Start off with 000 to 199, as they don't exist in North America. Then do all the Caribbean countries, and area codes where you know no one. Next is the prefix '0' and '1' as no prefix starts with either of those. Some of the newer ones will allow you to 'whitelist', where only numbers you program in will get through. If you're worried about not getting calls from doctor's, have them call you.
- MUR| 1 replySame as above. I called all elderly friends to explain what this is and to just hang up because they do not have caller id. Do NOT call them back.
