Message left at my home phone for a relative and this was the call back number. The message was from a Josie (I wont give the last name) about a case against the relative and the relative was named as the respondent. I called the number which was CONTINENTAL LEGAL SUPPORT, after hours so no one available. I did a reverse on the phone number and it did not come back with a name or business.I looked up the name of the company, none found. I contacted the relative and they called the number the next day and spoke with Carol (I wont give last name). The case is about money owed to PROVIDIAN. After the relative and Carol talk a letter was e-mailed to relative which was forward to me and I check on the address for CONTINENTAL LEGAL SUPPORT which is 1241 West Tharpe Street Suite 121 Tallahassee, Florida. So I look up that address made a call and got the name of the person that manages this complex which includes storage units and was told that there is no such business by that name or suite 121. I called CONTINENTAL LEGAL SUPPORT and spoke with Jessica (I wont give last name) I asked what time they closed as I wanted to come in and pay, there was a pause.   WHY?  ARE THEY IN ONE OF THE STORAGE UNITS?

Got same call from this number on my daughters cell same message said i was involved in a legal matter gave a affadavit number and told me i better get an atty within 24 to 48 hours man could barely pronouce respondent on msg sounded scripted....ha ha you scammers  not everyone is as dumb as you think.....do not call this number they will probably try and get personal info from you

I got the same call saying I was involved in a legal matter and to call this number.  They gave a case number, etc.  It sounded weird and scripted and I believe I heard a baby (or two) crying in the background.  I obviously did not call back.  I did a reverse directory and found out that the number is a cell phone number based out of Panama City, Florida.

These guys should be reported to the FTC.  I just do not have enough time to do it myself.

I also looked on Google Earth and looked at the address "scamed?" posted above and it looks like a storage facility.

I got a call from this number Well my x did I looked it up too it is a cell phone number I never called back I feel like if I am getting sued they should know where I live. All I can say is Thanks for giving my x a heart attack Dumb A$$ is.. These people should be sued from all of us See how they like it.

I have thought of reporting them to the FTC, etc and lodge a complaint but probably the cell phone number will be turned off and not traceable by time the complaint is investigated.  I also just do not have enough time in the day to start a process like that right now.

we just received a phone call from this same number from a jessica stating there was an affidavit number and something about a restraining order and to also call within 24 to 48 hours and give info to an attorney!!! so apparently these people are just scamming everyone and I am guessing they are a debt collector?? who calls from a "lawyers" office on a Friday night and to call them back during the weekend??? Don't call them back!!!

My parents just received a call from this phone number for me.  The man calling, Jeff, said that I was being sued and that I needed to get a hold of him immediately and gave my mom an affidavit number. Of course, my elderly mother almost had a heart attack and called me, at work, all upset.  I called the number back and they said that a credit card I had 10 years ago was suing me for fraud and I needed to make payment arrangements immediately. I went ahead and gave them my checking account info. Now I'm wondering if that was such a good idea.

I just recceived message from the same number.  The caller's name was a Kimberly Smith  said she was a special investigator and said I needed to get in touch with them within 24 hours.  Left an affiidavit number and said I am involved in a fraud court action and needed to appear and also something about a restraining order. She did not give any detail of exactly what it was about.

my sister got this call on her house phone that she just got a new number so how they got it we don't know, but any ways jason called and left a message with my family member to call him at this number 850-629-8216. something about a restraining order for me and the called almost scared my sister to death as though i was bothering somebody and they need to serve a restraning order or something. i think it's ridiculous the way these collectors do,so i called them and ask to speak with jason that's the person that left the message and i was informed that it was about an old credit card i had that was with first bank of deleware(mastercard) in 2006 really.

my elderly father (who has dementia/heart condition) received a call which upset him regarding being sued for fraud & was given an affidavit #. I spoke to a david smith then got the info about what account they were calling about then hung up. I called the # that was given to me to check on the supposed owed account & the #  was out of service then tried looking up the corp. office address for the co. for the account & no such address matched. I tried looking up Cont. Legal Support on the BBB-nothing, I googled them & luckly came up w/this site & fd another address in Washington NJ which when I pulled up the website was just another business giving out business reviews for money however they did have a map site which I went to & it was an old small office building that held other businesses(massage etc). I called back & spoke to a Jacklyn Smith-funny how everyone's last name is Smith!! & she would not give me their address or any other info. I work full time plus, have a deabled son & elderly father to take care of & my dtr w/2 sons had to move back in due to loss of job so I don't have time to do any more f/u on this but I intend to call the local TV station & give then the info, they have a investigative team that will hopefully check this out & stop this people from scarring/scamming anyone else out of their hard earned money!!!

Just received a call from this number from a Josephine claiming to be a "special investigator" claiming i owe on a 6 year old credit card debt.  She said that if i didnot settle something with her in 2 hrs that i would receive a subpoena about a pending lawsuit.  I asked her to mail me a debt verification letter which she refused she said that the only thing that she would be mailing me would be a subpoena.  I stated to her that I wanted to verify this supposed debt and she once again pressured me to agree on a settlement.  I stated that i live in CA and that the statue of limitations is 4 yrs on a credit card debt even if this debt was valid.  She didnot hav much more to add accept that i could try calling tomorrow but they might not have my "file" any longer.  Has anyone dealing with Continental Legal Support had any resolution to these calls/claims?  I find this very sketchy and am going to investigate further.

My Mom received a voice mail from this company & responded out of concern. They told her that they were going to garnish her wages, freeze her assets and possibly have her jailed for fraud. She was to say the least upset and called me for advice. I am a manager of a collection agaency. I took all the information and assured her that none of what they told her was remotely possible. She was afraid to deposit her payroll check.
I called these folks (who refused to give me their office location) and spoke with a woman who did not identify herself. She told me they are not a collection agency because they do not accpt payments at their office. I then spoke to her boss (Lloyd?) who told me the same thing. I explained the working of Fair Debt Practices Act and how he and his employees violated it on many points. He even discussed the account with me; a 3rd party. He finally ended the call stating that I did not know what I was talking about.
Folks all collectors are not like these scamers. We make our employees follow the rules to the letter. If you get a call from this company or any other company like them please record the call and then call the Attorney General for your state and the state the company is from. They need to be stopped.  
Bottom line is they have purchased accounts and are trying to collect out of statute bills by using illegal techniques.

I too received the same type of message, and talked to a Josphenine Brown and Carol. They said I owed on an old car repo and given me an affividant number as well. I tried to call the number on the weekend but they weren't available, I then tried to call today...was on HOLD for about 45min. I hung up and looked up this company on Google and ended up here. I am glad I spotted this. My first instinct when the called originally made me feel as if it was a scam because they were trying to double talk, but this just solidifies that it is a SCAM! Terrible people in the world...beware.

My husband just got a call in regards to the same thing below.  Saying he has a court appearance and GIVING A CLAIM NUMBER AND good luck.  Stupid [***]!!!!  They are fraud.

I just got a call from Tifany walker  about a fraud and i will be going to court these people need to be put in jail and stop before some inocent person get ripoff.

I was contacted by a woman named Tiffany and instructed to call this #.  I responded and was informed that if I didn't make a payment today I would be facing seizure of properties ,  accounts,  and a summons for charges of fraud.  People in 2000 I was in a bad motorcyle accident that I barely survived.  I was diagnosed with a severe traumatic brain injury and am on SS disability.  In short I am not as sharp as I used to be.  These people managed to scare me out of my bank information.  So far they have not debited my acct. and hopfully I have contacted my bank in time enough to stop any payment to these [***].  Point being the emotional distress they have put me under over this makes me want to do the same thing to them...only I will collect!

Yesterday I got a call from a  Tiffany Walker, special investigator, telling me to call this number back with my attorney and if i didn't it would result in a restraining order! Almost gave me a heart attack! My mother and lawyer called this number back and talked to a male who used a very threatening tone! They told us they would send police to my house, that I had a fraud case from a super old bank I had YEARS ago! That I needed to appear in court or send them money to settle it, or they'd seize my property blah blah blah! It's a total scam! I will be reporting them to the FTC! PERIOD!

This company called my grandmother on a Sunday looking for another family member (who lives 700 miles away) claiming that he was a special investigator, that he was a respondent, there was a restraining order, he had to appear in court in 48 hours, blah, blah blah. I called the number and they said they were Continental Legal Support.

These people are most definitely violating the law. Outrageous.
