It's a recovery company. They work for Comcast and other cable and satellite companies. They're subcontracted by these companies to recover their cable boxes and satellite equipment that hasn't been turned in by previous customers.

Yes that is what I was told also. Comcast equipment recovery service.

Sorry - they called and represent themselves as comcast.  They said they were looking for dismantled equipment belonging to them.  I told them I knew they were scammers - we owned all of our equipment and they were pulling one over on people.
Don't talk to them hang up and report them

This was equipment recovery services.  When I cancelled my service with Comcast, they didn't record that I had returned the modem.  They were looking for the Comcast modem.

Called just now; I answered but they hung up without saying anything. Weird.

Follow-up: I just cancelled my Comcast service two weeks ago.

Not a telemarketer or spammer. They call if you are returning your Comcast/Xfinity modem or cable box.

Called and said they were an equipment rental return service for Comcast cable. My equipment was already returned , verified with a receipt. On line the number is listed as merry !aids in fort Walton beach. Probably stealing equipment for hackers.

They never left message nore do I have any equipment of Comcast or any other cable service cimpany....nore have had any service provided by that type of company and I have had this number for 14 years so as y'all said scammers.

Do not confirm your name phone number or e-mail with these people.  I cancelled my Comcast service in person and they confirmed that I never leased their equipment during the cancellation process.  Two days after cancelling comcast I received a phone call from Nicola with the "equipment retrieval department".  She claimed I had a telephone modem.  I didn't have telephone service, nor did ever have any comcast equipment.  I'm a bit concerned that my name, e-mail address and telephone number were so easily accessible by whomever these people are.

DO NOT ANSWER. I talked with these people earlier and after the fact I called Comcast. They are not related to Comcast at all. I am worried this is either a "yes" scam or some type of data collection.

Thank you! I happened to returned all my equipment few days ago and now I'm getting these calls several times a day. Why would they not speak or leave messages? 👼🏼ƸӜƷ✫✫✫
