got a call from a Susan Pittman from the Warrant Department in my county that I was about to be served...called this 8552012948 was told I was a co-defendant with a family member being investigated for 2 counts of attempt to defraud a financial institute for fraudulent checks...I was the point of contact on the account...they could tell me nothing about their "client" or what this matter concerned...but the other party could call them back and tell them that I was completely unaware of the offense committed and their attorneys would file a voluntary dismissal to get me out of this mess...kept referring to a legal document they had in front of them but could tell me nothing about point of contact, my guess is as good as theirs...I work for a prosecutor this sounds phishy to me for sure

My brother-in-law first received a call from someone claiming to be a process server and that he had been named as a co-defendant in a lawsuit that I was party to. When I called them back, all they would tell me was the company name was ARA and that there is a complaint against me by Sunbank for hot check (which would be in the prosecutor's office, not coming through a private party). I have been a paralegal for over 10 years and when I tried to explain what service of process meant, asked for the county where the case was filed, case number, etc., he said well it was service of process to try to verify my address. Then when I tried to explain that wasn't service of process he hung up on me.

Sisters and sister in law received calls in reference to claiming to be a process server and that they had been named as a co-defendant in a lawsuit on my behalf. Ones wages were garnished.  When I called them back, all they would tell me was  that there is a complaint against me for hot check --- interesting because I don't write checks. Asked for the county where the case was filed, case number, etc., the lady said  they will process and see me in court.  Tried to verify my address. The address on record is not anywhere I have lived. My social security number, where I work,  Told her to send me the paperwork.  She hung up on me.

My wife received a phone call from a company named  (ara).they were looking for me.A lady told my wife that I wrote a bad chech,and to avoid any legal liability of two counts of fraud that I would have to call a18552012948.They said my wife was my co defendant on this matter.when I called they knew all my info.they said I owned 1000.00,and if I didn't make apayment to them that they would press charges on me and my wife."Its a fraud"
