Got a mailer addressed to my deceased father-in-law stating he was awarded a Google tablet.

Company information is as follows:

Solagex is a solar energy company. I didn't call them but I imagine the tablet offer is contingent on either purchasing a solar system or listening to a sales pitch.

Yea it is a solar company. I actually went in for the pitch & got the tablet. Pretty cool way of going about purchasing solar if your intrested. Its a legit company. Didn't purchase it myself but it was totally worth my time. :o)

They ask me the amount of South Edison bill per month, I said less than $20/Month, they said I am disqualify for the award.

Oh that's funny!  I wish I had searched this before calling them and giving my name and #.  Boo on me!  Usually if anything comes to me in the mail without a legitimate postage stamp, I throw it in the trash.

yep, "reginald" and "nicole" work for solagex. not their real names obviously. thats how they get around the "no one named nicole words at solagex". So obviously someone on this thread DOES work at solagex b/c they are monitoring the responses. its like the home depot water softener talks for a home depot card, takes freakin forever and then they grille you to buy the system and hang around your house forever.

actually I bought a solar system from solagex and looking toward the installation now. always making sure to cross my t's and dot my i's in doing business with anyone. They have been a very professional company and seem to be on a mission to make our planet a more green place to live. I am on bord with that and they have found a way to make it affordable for everyone. No money down... How about that. I am in!!!

They are also using the number 1-866-544-1132.

Has anyone actually called? I just received the letter and the ph# is 855-558-4587. I thought I would research this before waisting my time or getting my hopes up on another scam.

these guys are a scam dude. i just got their cell phone radiation guard offer. their mailer has Microsoft all over it so they're illegally trading on it's trademark. totally un-scrupulous. after pasting 'Microsoft' all over, there's a little disclaimer saying it has nothing do with Solargex, and solargex is in fine print too, also a company called  "Radiguard"... ooooooohhhh.....  these guys are just trying to make a buck. problem is the scruples they have are stolen....smile

Then why does the return address say "Microsoft" complete with the trademark and style font? The mailer looks completely like something from Microsoft until you open it and read the small print on the back of the coupon inside. Utter scam.

I called and attended the presentation. It was actually very informative and professional. I fail to see where the scam is... They have found a unique way to talk to people about saving money on electricity costs by going to solar energy.

I read what you all write and I can't help but think how ridiculous you all sound. I meam really you have nothing better to do with your time? So it's a way to get people to listem to their pitch, what is wrong with that? I'm sure you have filled out forms to enter into a sweepstakes and received calls before am I right? At least its good for the environment and not selling insurance or warranty crap I get constantly!

Why don't you stop scamming and move on? In the meantime, get used to getting called out on sites like this when you run scams and pester people who would rather you didn't even exist.

You are one person who has too much time on his hands Mission Viejo Resident! I really don't know what your talking about but when I see someone bashing a company or companies all over the internet with no real hard evidence I tend to wonder what is wrong with those people!!!!!

Hey Bob,
Ms. Gee and her husband actually signed up for a Solagex system but canceled due to scathing negative press on one of the Solagex principles. Doubt she would be less than truthful about what she posts.
