Scammers.... They call from a local number and say they are calling from the office of macs. They say you have commited fraud on your financial instution and they have your ss number and will be out to serve you papers and will attach this to your banking if you do not call 855-203-7594 to resolve this matter... Can you say .......Scammers!!! Bottom feeders...

I got the same call with a message that I needed to call an ACS at the same as you guysthis is a scam these debt collectors or so called debt collectors portrayed to be acting on behalf of a debt collection agency and just try to scare people out of information personal information and what not these people do it on the basis that it'll be a hit or miss if they catch the right person that is petrified wood never had an issue I'll have no idea of the laws overseeding when it comes to elections and whatnot these scammers often get away with these kind of malicious scams by law they need to provide you something in writing preferably by certified mail if this was such a true case. one's social security number cannot be put on any type of hold for a debt by a collection agencies the only governing body that can have your funds or banking situation garnished is it the US government aka the IRS..and for the Irs to garnish ones funds the actual ammount needs to exceed 2k..

Yes.  I got a call.  Luckily I work for a lawyer, who has agreed to call them and put the fear of God in them.

received call from someplace called MACS, 855 203-7594, about something called a "check protest claim".  Quite obviously a so-called 'bottom feeder' phishing for information, and using threatening lingo to intimidate.  beware of giving any information at all to these scammers.  best just to not answer these calls.

The number of 219-209-9243 has called 3 times in the past 2 weeks with the same recorded message each time. It says, "This message is for" and a mechanical voice gives a name that isn't mine. "This is the office of MACS. This call is in regard to a possible check protest claim that is scheduled to be placed against your name and Social Security number. If placed it could affect any banking you may have. Please take this opportunity to fix the matter, as once placed it cannot be retracted. Our number is 855-203-7594."

I received the same message. They call from a local area code. I did not answer because I did not recognize  the number.  Left a message with the same information.  Definitely bottom -feederI have been in contact with a reputable collection agency and their agents have always been helpful over the years.

Threaten to put a check pro tax claim on bank account.  SCAM! Totally fishing for personal information.

Same exact call with the same exact message - calls from a local SC number then leaves a message to call MACS with a claim against my name and SS #.  States it will affect my current employment and all of my banking transactions.  BS!!!

Received a call from someone by the name of Scott from  this Ph no. Telling me to pay up some unsettled amount which i dont owe and said that i will be served papers and my employment will know. Something about him telling me that he has the right to freeze all my bank account. Just another threat.

I had received calls from this so calls from "MACS". THis is an attempt to collect a debt. Your ph no and social security is in this office. Please call us as soon as possible to settle this debt. It is a felony and you will be responsible for all costs. Your employment will be notified about this fraud. All Bank accounts will be freeze and wages will be garnished. Wow! another threat and scam. Dont owe anyone anything. What a scam!!!! Certainly not answering this calls.

These boffonces left me a message on my answer machine, nleft 855-203-7594 as the call back number.  Threatened to place a check protest claim against me.  Totally dubious.

I also rec'd that call, except it was a message from 850-347-6332 telling me to call the 855-203-7594 to resolve this issue...I looked up the 850 #.  This is what I found. : 850-347-6332 is ALEXIS SELLE

They called my home phone (but called from 201-492-9251) stating that were calling for 201-915-2000 (which is Barnabas Health... and I don\'t even know who/where that is) and that they were MACS regarding a check protects claim. If I didn\'t handle this immediately, that it would affect my bank and banking. I was instructed to call 1-855-203-7594. I work in credit and collections and would NEVER consider this a valid claim as I have NEVER received any physical correspondence relative to any debt due and owing a hospital or otherwise. In accordance to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I am dismissing this voicemail as bogus and fraud.

I get phone calls every day or two from different numbers, some local and some not.  The message is for (mechanical name) with a vague unspecific threat.  Yes, they want me to call 855 203 7594.  These are the people who can't get a real job and are trying to steal from honest folks.

Got a call from a private number., 847-582-3201,  this morning at 8:15 saying my name was on a "petition" and if I didn't acknowledge it by calling 855-203-7594, they would "move forward".  This number is to Mid-America Credit Services, a debt collector, which has to be looking to scam money out of people.

IGNORE THEM!!!!
