This is NCO Financial FedEx Dept. They seem to claim a debt for FedEx?

Trying to get a claim for fedex but i owe nothing

They called me and left a message claiming they were NCO Financial. When I tried calling back, I can't get through. A machine says "We apologize... try back later."  I don't owe anything!! Is this a scam?

I've gotten 5 different phone calls from this number on my cellphone in the last month.  There is no reason for a debt collector to be calling me.

I've gotten calls from this number at least once a week at the mall and finally decided to call to see who they were looking for.  They presented themselves as NCO Financial collecting a debt for FedEx.  They were actually looking for a store in the mall and I gave them that number.  They shouldn't be calling us anymore.

NCO Financial is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to 3rd party or Zombie debt collectors.  Just slightly below Portfolio Recovery Assocs.  They have had more law suits file against them than Phillip Morris Tobacco Company.  Look them up on the internet and do a bunch of reading and research to see how these worms work and how to handle them.  Like other debt collectors,  they have been known to sue someone who didn't even owe the debt,   and win because the person didn't show up in court.  Also,  they will put a bug into your Credit Report in an effort to resurect the
statute of limitations allowing them to sue.

I keep getting automated voicemail messages AT MY PRIVATE WORK NUMBER from this phone number (saying they are NCO Financial) and they finally got me on the phone this morning.  They told me they're trying to get a hold of whoever handles past-due Fed Ex invoices for the Department of State (which is where I work, but definitely not my department).  I can't believe they're trying to collect from a huge government agency, and how the hell did they get my direct line at work??  I'm pretty sure this is a scam, but why they'd be trying to scam the federal government is beyond me.  I just hope they stop calling me now that I told them I have no idea who handles those things.

They have called me for the last 2 weeks. I am in Australia and do not owe anything to Fed ex at all. Called back and got a voicemail saying to call back within certain times, yet this times that they stated were outside the times they were calling me.

Carol,  NCO Financial is a collections company,  however they have a stinking reputation and have had many law suits filed sucessfully against them for unethical collection practices.

I received a call from this # and various other SCAM ARTIST, I just wanted to take the time to share what I found through researching the internet which has brought me relief.

FYI, the number for NCO is 800-897-0308.  I just received a collection notice for a $20 FDA processing fee that I didn't feel I had to pay because the damn package never arrived.  (this was using FedEx, invoiced by them.. not sure if they get invoiced by the FDA or what).  Anyway.. now it seems that Fedex won't deliver packages to my address, I assume until this is cleared up.

Same thing Carol. They started calling me and I don't owe anything. They don't get a chance to leave a Messag because I always answer the phone. They call me and then tell me to call some lady. Just more of life's bull [***].

Got a call from them.  When I answer it has the delay like the telemarking calls do.  When someone comes on the phone you mainly hear background talk.   When you hear that you hang up immediately as you know it is no good.

This number keeps calling me.  I don't have any debts as of last year.  Checked all 3 credit reports just last week, nothing unusual there.  They never leave a voice message.  This is probably just bogus spam.  Ignore it and enjoy your life while they waste theirs.

Did not leave any message but from other comment, I would agree it's FedEx. If you buy something from Canada, the seller may pass certain charges to the buyer and NOT inform the buyer and FedEx bills the buyer for it.

Call claiming to be a debt collector from fedex. Left a message.  I owe no debt so this is most likely a scam.

This very rude person called me at work 3 times, he claimed to be from TransWorld systems/ They had left a voice mail a few weeks ago and said to call back immediately about a debt, which I of course did not. I googled it at that time and saw all kind of things stating they were a scam company (no surprise) Anyway, this guy claimed I supposedly owed $39 to Fed Ex for a package I signed for.  First of all, I don't sign for packages at my company and secondly of all, when I asked for more information, he was very rude and demanded to speak to my supervisor so I hung up. He called back and I hung it right up.  He called back again and I picked up and he said I believe we were disconnected.  I wanted to say, no you Jerk, I hung up on you but I didn't since I was at work.  If he would have called at home, I would have had a few choice names for him.  He definitely is a scam artist because no reputable company would have their employees be rude and arrogant and demanding to people. I should not have picked up after the first time but I will not in the future. I have called ID but all it gives is this phone number but I will never pick up if they call again
