Julie Walters called my husbands cell phone telling him they had legal documents for me.  Couldn't give him any info as to the name of company or what this is about.  Unknown number shows up on his phone.  She did leave 1-855-213-3647 number to call.  Searched the number up & it is not a valid number!!!!  My husband yelled at me about this!  Have no clue as to what these people want.

Received 4 calls on my cell no caller id , they called my job and told another employee to call 8552133647, also told them i was going to be served or receive a summons with a case #. Illegal as hell to tell a coworker information like this. I don't owe anyone nor do I have anything past due!  This is a brand new # they have just started using.... Beware of these crooks! Don't talk to to these scabs!

My brother in law got call about my husband they said he had a judgment then left this number for him to call back. The day before my husband received a recorded call from a 971-228-0855 saying the same thing I googled it it's from a Vodafone in India. These numbers are total scams don't listen to them and don't call back.

Your husband should be yelling at these scammers, not you!  If you ever have to receive legal documents - like a court summons - you don't get a phone call about them.  You'd get them via process server or certified or registered mail.   This is typical scammer BS, calling people trying to scare them into paying for a bogus debt or debt that has already been paid off.  

Per the FDCPA, do NOT pay any caller who refuses to MAIL - do not accept email, text or fax - a debt validation letter showing that you owe a debt and that the caller has the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this DV letter is a violation of federal law.

This is a scam. These fools violate every law out there.

We got the same type of call.. my boyfriend was nervous when the mentioned him being sued etc.  Especially when they brought up the county we reside in.  I called this number back they answered as CRG based out of Riverside, California is all I was told.  If you or anyone is going to be served, they won't call.

Good ol' "julie smith" called me on my cell with a case # along with the above phone #., and said i was to be served and to call the # for more details in the matter. Funny part is when she asked if i was --full name here-- i said no.Thats when i took the info from her and said i would relay the mesg. The # she called from was "unknown" BTW.                                                                                               I Live in Ventura County and this was from SBCounty. I even checked the online court calender and found nothing with my name on it. Called the # and a male answered with  HELLO, "CRG"

I received this phone call from "Julie" this morning and reported it as fraud to the Federal Trade Commission, I would suggest everyone do the same. http://www.ftc.gov/. I'm also going to have my lawyer call them to see if that doesn't shame them or shake them up.

Got a call from Lisa Collins saying she was from the local court system and need to meet to serve papers. No solid company info was given but a case number 53-00169 and phone number 855-213-3647.

These people telling me they have to serve me court dates. I think it's PDL loan that I have paid off.

I get the same type of calls( and mail) all the time.  I just let it go to my answering machine. Now they are starting to call my family members around the U,S, and getting them upset. This one yesterday told my sister that there was a warrant out for my arrest. from the ------- County Sheriff's Dept.-they gave her the case number and their phone # 855-213-3647 ( same # in the messages above).  I called them and gave no info, but asked "what office or dept are you with?" He said( after trying to avoid the question for a few minutes) that "we are CRG- we handle legal papers". I asked "So, you  are not the Sheriff's Dept? He answered "No", and I hung up.  They already know my home phone and address and all about me, so there is no reason for them to call  my family like this, except for pure Harrasssment!  I'm guessing this is about an old debt that is no longer due. These people probably bought it in a bundle when Wall Street crooks were making billions doing that kind of thing, and they are still trying to squeeze out every penney. It is illegal for them to sue you or to threaten to arrest you,for a debt that is past the Statute of Limitations, and it should not continue to be reported to the Credit Bureaus, like Transamerica.  Many of us report these scams to the proper authorities, but nothing is ever done about the scammers. They just change phone # or locations or names and continue with their dirty tricks.  The best thing to do is DO NOT TALK TO THEM AT ALL!  Do not give them Any information. Tell your family and friends the same thing. If you answer the phone and it is the scammers, JUST HANG UP!!!  YOU ALSO NEED TO CHECK YOUR CREDIT BUREAU  REPORT AT LEAST EVERY YEAR AND CORRECT ANY ERRORS IN WRITING. You can get one free report from the official government site.

My caller, as reported above, was "CRG".  Research shows at least 2 meanings for CRG=CONSUMER RESEARCH GROUP  or CREDIT REPAIR GROUP.  I imagine they have many other names and phone numbers, because they run lots of different kinds of scams besides Debt Collecting.  If there is a fraud invented, they will probably try it.

I received a call saying my wife needed to call 855-213-3647 and was given a case number.  After calling the number I was told she was going to be a defendant in a law suit and she had already or would soon be served papers.  They had info on an account that she did owe money on. However, we paid this past debt off 3 years ago.  They emailed an offer letter to settle.  I called them the next day and told them the debt was paid off and I was sending them a dispute letter. They asked me to fax the proof and they would close the account, I declined and stated that the dispute letter was all they will receive from me, her response was "okay thank you."  Don't give any information they could use.  

stop being a scum bag and pay your bills and maybe you wouldnt have a problem.. and have to warn your family and make them lie for you.. collecting debt is not a scam. YOU not paying your debt is a SCAM! Stop stealing from the united states government.. you deserve to be in the SCUM SYSTEM SYSTEM. im falling the FBI! good luck to you!
