- TammySaid it was from some Notification Center and I won one of their top prizes, but failed to ever mention my name.

- SMackerCalled today 5/27/2013. William said I won a car based on my Contest Entry Form. Call back and ask for extension 183. time sensitive; said he was aware of "don not call" list so he wouldn't be calling back - I had to call him back.Says this is not a cold call or a telemarketer... SOUNDS LIKE WORSE TO ME - VERY SUSPICIOUS! Won't be calling back.
- Caller: The Notification Center
- NippiRoseSame as SMacker.. William indicated that my husband (named him correctly by first name) had won a car based on some contest entry form. No one in this family has entered any contests. Rest of message same as above. Must be a SCAM.

- doubterSame as HippiRose. Beware!! tried reverse number and no match.
- Another daySubject called stating from notification center. Number given was 1 855 226 8311. Recognized that I was on the do not call list. Notification center number is 1 708 825 9839. Appears there is such a number and a center as such.

- MI got a call from "Gloria" at 855-226-8311, ext 136... all the same details as above- exactly and they do have my first name at least and she said it would be in my best interest to call. I do sometimes enter contests, but I can't imagine that the contest would not be specifically identified when calling me to tell me I won. Clearly they have my number so I don't necessarily see the danger in using that number to call back and investigate, but just in case I don't plan to. Mainly because I really do think that if I won something, the actual contest sponsor would identify themselves. I do believe this is the third or so time they have called me over the last six months or so. She also noted that- that they have tried to call a few times and do recognize that I'm on the do not call list. Don't know what to think, but don't plan to call back.

- blastscam| 1 replyReceived call from David @ Notification Center at 855-226-8311 ext 124...did not have my name and again stated in my best interest to call...have received 3 calls from them in past. No id on contest entered, again stated that they recognize the number is on the do not call list. On the web that number lists to Level 3 Communications. I do not recall entering any contests where top prize is a car..."David" stated I had won one of top 4 prizes. I do not plan to call back...as far as I know any legitimate company is required to notify you by mail for prizes won. Pretty sure this is a SCAM.

- Called them backI also received a call from 855-226-8311, and they asked for Mr. or Mr's "last name". I asked, "what this was about?" Reply stated, " are you Mr. "last name?" Replied, "I will not tell you until you tell me what this is about" Customer hung up. I then researched this number and found this website. I called them back and chose a few different extensions like the ones above. I found one that worked and found "Rhonda." I asked them to stop contacting me and the argument became heated as I would not provide my name or phone number. You would think in this day and age, caller-id would show that information. I further argued that they just called me a few minutes ago and they can look at the list of people and numbers called and they can then remove my number from their list of calls. We then hung up. I then chose to re-dial them, as I wanted to see if I could extract the name of the company from them. This bit of information would not be forthcoming. What ensued was a heated exchange and finally a hang up. I have since Filed a Report on the do not call list registry. I hope this prevents them from calling. <sigh>

- nymiJust received the same call from "David" with a twist. The number I was asked to call back was 1-855-226-8321 ext 124, but the number that shows up on my caller ID is 708-825-9839. I didn't answer. Got all this information from listening to message left on my machine. Message said he had made "numerous" attempts to reach me. This is a lie. I have never received a call from the number on the ID or the number I was asked to call; and I have never before received a message on either my home or cell number or a live call on this topic. Message alleges that it is in response to an entry form filled out in my name in the last "12 to 18 months" [please] to receive a new car. Message alleges it is a "final notice" [in my dreams]. Cleverly covering their b*tts against sanctions against them the message says "we are aware" of the do-not-call list [but not that they are aware that my number IS ON the list] but would not have called if a form had not actually been entered. I never filled out such a form. But I can't disprove that some enemy of mine could have done so. Well-thought out evasion attempt on their part. Caller also says to call as soon as possible, and once again, "do not delay." Reported to FCC and do-not call complaints.

- happylionGot the call from David. He wasn't there but Avonda answered. It's very strange. They listed a series of prizes I could be the winner of, and said something about a 3-day trip (all expenses paid) to pick up the prize, and that it was to publicize a travel agency. However, they didn't name the travel agency or where the trip was to (or when). They then said the entry had a specific marital status and income level checked off and asked me to verify. When I told them both were wrong, they did not ask for the correct information; they simply said I was not eligible and would withdraw my claim. If it's a scam, it's the strangest scam I've ever seen. I thought they were going to try to get me to tell them my income level or SSN or maybe give them a credit card number to reserve the hotel, but they only asked for my name and home phone number, both of which are public record so I saw no harm in giving it.

- Barbara SearsI have received many calls this last week from this number, but did not answer them because I did not recognize the number. Today, 7/20/2013, I answered it and a man asked for my late husband by his first name. I asked who was calling: "Latrell from the Notification Center". He asked again for my husband by his first name- never a mention of his last name. I told him that he had died a year and a half ago and he said, "I take it you're his wife." I replied affirmatively. He said he was sorry and hung up.

- MiMiYep. It happened to me too. My son actually took the call. He is very skeptical and asked a bunch of questions, but said it sounded legitimate. William Thomas of the Notification Center, the name given by the caller, said I had won one of four prizes, the top one was a Dodge Durango. Mr. Thomas, or whoever he was, informed my son that I was in a certain city 18 months ago and filled out a ticket for a drawing. How convenient it was 18 months ago knowing I wouldn't remember. Normally I don't fill out any entry forms anyway and no, I don't remember being in that location 18 months ago. Thought I'd look on the internet before calling back. Conclusion - Scam. Won't be calling Mr. Thomas back!

- MiMi replies to blastscamI went to that website and it didn't have anything to do with a Notification Center. When I hit the link for their contact information, this particular number is not even given. My suspicions are this number was reassigned to this supposed Notification Center.
- DavidGot the call today from Dennis. The 855 number is not listed. Suspect they are trying to latch on to our phone number and use it in a foreign country are ring up the charges. Too many people being called for winning a car. Oh yea !
- DavidLooked up area code 855. There is no geographical location for this area code. It is a number used by bill collectors and telemarketers. Well then, don't call the crooks back.
