- ArtGot two or three calls from this number. Did not answer.
- Rick DI decided to answer the call to find out who it was.
It's Marco Rubio's re-election campaign. When you call back it's an automated message that ONLY says "if you like to be placed on our do not call list please press 1 now." They don't identify themselves at all
When you press 1 a robotic voice simply states that "your number has been added". It's sneaky and so is Rubio. Turn coat
They call 4 times a day.- Call type: Political call
- Miss SallySounded like they were calling from the bottom of a well. After I said hello, nobody responded. Great team to have soliciting for donations!
- SJNever answer calls without their name listed on Caller ID, but seems odd that it would be Marco Rubio campaign calls to people in Mississippi where I live??? Probably just a scam outfit, not legit if they don't leave a message on Voice Mail or Answering Machine.
- Caller: No name listed
- Beach bumKeep receiving calls from 855-238-9926. Identifies as Toll Free Number. I called back and was added to the do not call list. Still do not know who ownes the number.
- Mark B| 2 repliesMy home phone number is registered with The National Do Not Call Registry. 855-228-9926 is in violation by calling my home phone number - UNSOLICITED. When I answered this call no one said anything. I called the number back, heard a recording that asked me to Press 1 if I want my phone number removed. Recording does not identify company name or type.
- CFitzKept getting calls from this number, didn't answer. Decided to call and find out who it was, got the same message as stated above - press 1 to be added to do not call list, but no identification of who it was. I blocked the number from calling me.
- NewsNut replies to Mark B| 1 replyThe National Do Not Call Registry does not limit calls by political organizations, charities, or telephone surveyors. It limits calls from sellers.

- CarlWe receive a number of calls daily from this number, with no answer. We suspect that we are being charged for these reverse 'toll-free' calls. Investigating now.
- Caller: unknown from 855-228-9926
- BillCharities and political calls are permitted under federal law even if you are on the DO-NOT-CALL list. The DNC list means that businesses that you have never done business with, or made purchases from, are not allowed to call you.
- Carol R.Bowling Shumte| 5 repliesMy husband and I are both senior citizens. The call came from a woman asking specifically to speak to my husband and wanting to have him donate specifally $540 to the Republican party fo vrigginina. I was flabbergasted! I never have been asked to donate such a large amount of money before. I told the caller that all my husband and I cn do is to vote. My husband is working part-time as it is, and I have been unable to obtain any professional employment now for the past twenty-seven years, regardless of who is in office. I have fared poorly under both Republicans and Democrats ever since George Herbert Walker Bush was President-- and I have two master's degrees, three undergraduate degrees, certification to teach at the secondary level biology, chemistry general science and psychology and have worked before as a college adjunct lab instructor. Prior to that, I worked as a medical technologist in blood banking-- and actually left that job to try to go back to college to train to become a science teacher, which at the time paid more money than I was earning in the blood bank. becoming a science teacher never materialized. However, developing a form of identity theft, did materialize.... and then someone has some kind of nerve to ask me or may husband for $540 supposedly to beat Harry Reid and Barrack Obama??? I'm not even sure that Harry Reid is up for re-election! I told her, that all my husband and I could do is vote. She also told me to contact the Republican Party of Virginia dot Org; However, I do not recognize an 855 number as being a Virginia exchange. It do not know whether or not it is like a new kind of 800 number. I've never heard of anyone calling from an 855 number before and claiming to represent the Virginia Republican Party. I am doubly miffed if she works for Marco Rubio as someone suggested ( below) because I regard him to be a Cuban interloper. I'm personally tired of seeing first generation Americans run for office and obtain the highest office in the land. To me, Marco Rubio's credentials, albeit Republican, are essentially the same as Barrack Obama's in that he's only half American and had a foreign father, but grew up in the U.S.. I think Rubio has both non-American parents. My family goes all the way back to colonial times and none of them have ever held public office. The same is true of my husband's family. My married surname may end in a vowel, but neither one of us are of Latin descent. Is having a surname ending in a vowel why my husband was targeted for "special treatment," but I happened to answer the phone? My late uncle who won a bronze star in WWII was just buried, yesterday. His name was Harry Wendell Bell. He never held a public office either nor had been hit up with money from the Republican Party to defeat Harry Reid and Barrack Obama.. The whole thing really has me disgusted.
- Carol R.Bowling Shumate replies to Carol R.Bowling Shumte| 3 repliesI just called the number back, received a recording saying that if I pressed one, my number could be added to the Do Not Call List. I pressed one. So, my best guess is that this number is not a political number at all but someone's number from someone who is trying to work some kind of donation scam. I have heard this caller before with this strange accent. it sounds like a woman calling with a cloths e pin held on her nose. She has a very annoying voice. I think that I have heard her call trying to shame-me-down for other things, as well. Given the recording I received upon calling the number back, my next step will be to report this call as a Do Not Call List violation.
- Carol R. Bowling Shumate replies to Carol R.Bowling Shumate| 2 repliesI just reported the call as a Do Not Call List violation. Actually, come to think of it, the caller actually sounds a little bit like Sarah Palin, or someone who has the same kind of peculiar cloths-pin-stuck-on -nose accent. I do not like Sarah Palin, either. To me she sounds ignorant. How she ever became Governor of Alaska, I'll never know! I also thought that she was formerly some kind of drug using radical who was also connected to the Pro-Life movement. As counter-intuitive as it sounds, I have run into a whole lot of people who are both Pro-Life and Pro-marijuana, and sound every bit like space cadets-- like Sarah Palin. To me, Palin sounds like a space cadet-- but then there are a lot of stupid people who like her. She appeals to a certain segment of the population-- that's why she is getting her own cable TV. channel. I would NEVER donate $540 to anyone at all associated with Sarah Palin. To me, this woman is a damn fraud! However, those are my visceral responses. I also hate pro-lifers as a rule, too. To me most of these folks don't like science or the theory of evolution. To me, they people with human bodies but the mind of a chimpanzee. However, that is politics.. I suggest that anyone else report this called as a Do Not Call list violation.
- Jesus replies to Carol R. Bowling ShumateYou be careful with that brain of yours. Scientist will want to study it someday.
- carilDo not know this number, did not answer.
- carol replies to Carol R. Bowling ShumateNancy Peloski, who wad Speaker of the House, sounds like an drug induced idot and Sarah Palin is way mote intelligent than Peloski.
- RhondaHave noticed several calls from the number on my Caller ID, with no message left. Just called again while I was home, so I answered out of curiosity--NO RESPONSE. Whoever this is, I want them to STOP calling me. Yes, I'm on the Do Not Call list.
- Elfi FlyerNumerous calls from this number, sometimes three a day. I do realize the calls are for political and/or campaign contributions. Have donated to my politial party affiliation groups before, that's why I am on the "calling list". However, not interested in discussing or donating over the phone, so my call screeing system works just fine. Intercepts the call on the first ring, advising "your call is not being accepted at this time". There are some 50 numbers on my system's "reject" list.
