Caller ID shows Toll Free. Left no msg. From what I can see thru googling, it is a cell. But yesterday I got a strange call from an area cell wanting to know about the neighbors next door. Claimed they were calling from out of state. It showed local on ID. Now today, I already have to 2 diff  "out of state" phone calls..Things that make ya go hrmmmmm....

I googled this #, too.  It's nobody I know.  Caller ID shows Toll free.  Voicemail answered our phone and call stopped.  This is the second time in 3 days that this # has called our home phone #.

Yes, NRA!  Why is the world would I be getting calls from the NRA?

I called number and was given an option to hear more info and pressed 1 to do so.  Following a brief description of what NRA is about, I was given an opt out option for removal from future calls....

Says unavailable. Would have accepted a call from NRA if it was the Rifle association, but do not accept calls from callers that donot have the courtesy to leave messages.

Called and asked for Mr. Harding ...  I asked if I could take a message and gal said, "no message."   Would not identify source of call.
Someone said it was National Rifle Association.  
For me, it's just another annoying call, ignoring the National Do Not Call Registry.

These forums are strictly for call recipients to share their findings. They are NOT direct open channels to the phone bank boiler rooms we comment upon. The magic phrase you want is "Put me *on* your Do Not Call list", assuming this is the gun lobby.

Debt collector National Recovery Agency has been fond of using its acronym in Caller ID through several phone numbers, possibly encouraging confusion with the lobby group. Should this NRA be the one discussed here, turn to the FDCPA provisions for help.

I also got a call from this number but also have gotten several calls from this number:

and has also appeared as just the normal looking 232-777-3456.  when googled it says it is not a valid phone number.  Can anyone help????  Thanks

Third day in a row that I received a call from 855-232-9534.  Called them back today and listened to recording from the National Rifle Association stating they were sorry they missed me and they will call again with some important updates.  Important to who, not me!

I am sick and tired of all these calls.  I don't own or want a gun.  I am not in credit default.  I do not want to buy a car.  And if I wanted to talk to the Government, I would call myself.  I consider this an invasion of privacy and I am reporting ALL OF THE SPECFIC UNWANTED NUMBERS TO AS MANY AGENCIES AS I CAN---FTC, GOVERNMENT, DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, ETC.    Like I said, this is an INVASION OF PRIVACY.        DO NOT CALL ME!!!!

How many numbers does NRA have?  I've looked up several on this site and they all seem to be NRA.  I received 2 calls on Sunday, and calls all hours of the day (and evening/night) the other days of the week.  I thought Sunday was supposed to be exempt from these calls.......
I've been getting calls from about 8 different 800 numbers.  I don't answer any of them.

Not National Rifle Association, They just use NRA, collection company. I think they should be reported for using NRA, I thought the same thing as you.

They call but no one on the other end.
