SCAM.  Identified as Sprint.  Threatened my son with probation period for using too many minutes (we have unlimited plan).  I called Sprint and that number is NOT affiliated with them whatsoever.  They tried to get the password for my account out of my son (I've never told anyone password, not even my sons on my family account.)  SCAM.  Hang up.

the number (855-235-8851) has been calling me daily for the past week. I never pick up a number I don't know and they have never left a message. I'm glad I looked it up and know not to attempt to communicate at all with them.

Scam. I called Sprint to Verify. The associate mentioned that Sprint will NEVER call you about this sort of thing. They will message to your Email on file, or send a text message. Call the ## on your sprint bill to verify. Block this number, Report them. Just dont give them any information.

Sprint warning about roaming overage on "unlimited" account.

It's not a scam. I have Sprint and I recently moved to a place where my minutes and data are roaming. They are trying to work with me to figure out how to prevent the roaming towers from picking up, or maybe it makes the most sense to cancel the contract.  I also received a letter from Sprint with the same information.

The same thing just happened to my husband. The customer service agent (who was extremely rude) threatened to shut off my husband's account if he didn't give her the required info. He hung u p on her. I called our sprint rep, and it IS indeed a scam! Sprint ha unlimited data, therefore you cannot go over your limit!! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!

Scam: called sprint, they will only send a letter about this. You can possibly be contacted about this sort of thing, but not in the way this phone call is handled. These scammers are pretty clever as they are mimicking a minor issue that you can run into, but this phone call does not originate from sprint or their affiliates so DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO SCAM

I have Sprint and just got a call from this number. Have been the last couple days. I dont answer any number I dont know. Im glad i didnt answer it though

Call from Sprint regarding my over usage of 4g data to download from torrent sites because they are not secure which they say is not allowed. If I don't cease from using the sites within 10 days they will cancel my service.

I will be stopping by a store to get better information since the rep did not seem to really know how to fully explain situation. I have unlimited data plan.

I have been getting the same call everyday for 3 times I reported it to the donot call so far nothing is done.

HAHA. I got a call from this number and I called back to see how far they would go. I gave the lady all fake info, and she just kept going! This confirms its a SCAM. Everyone call back and flood them with BS information! ahhahahahaha

They've been calling me constantly and after finding this thread, I called the number.  It was some phony sprint answering machine.  I listened till the end to leave a message and it said, "The owner of this mailbox is not excepting messages.  Goodbye."  And hung up on me.  It didn't exactly say that, but something like that.  PHONYYYY!YY!Y!Y!

I've gotten harassing calls from this number and others like it and have switched providers because it wouldn't stop. I've had this phone for months now and have never given out my number except to close friends and family. how they got my number is beyond me.

It's a Sprint number, I was given it from the regular Sprint customer service. Its the roaming department and they will cancel your account, speaking from experience here.

I just got a call from that number and didn't pick up.  I discontinued service with Sprint last spring due to poor service.  I'd be interested if they would try to tell me that I am over my data limit when I no longer have a Sprint phone or account.

Pretty sure it's not a scam. I received 2 phone calls from them only after I initiated contact through a verified Sprint email address. My reply from them on email matched what they said on the voicemail. I got two calls over the course of a week and the second call said to contact them if I wished to continue with the customer service query. They were not pushy, rude, or persistent in any way. All in all, it seemed pretty legit to me.

This is Sprint. I filed a complatint with dan@sprint.com and they called me back from this number

I just got the same letter, any resolution
