Just got a call from this number on both my cell and my landline, leaving a threatening message about filing suit. My cell identified it as a Florida jewelry store called Earrings, Rings, and Other Things. I did not call back. In my experience, jewelry stores are not so threatening in their business. This is an extortion scam perpetrated by a company that another site identified as Gateway Holdings.

Got a threatening message from company about filing papers extortion scam. Blocked number

ID themselves as "Western Litigation" and said they were in Dallas.  Wouldn't give me any information.  Hung up on me.
Gateway Holdings, is located on the Island of Nevis in the West Indies.  This  group has been prohibited from doing business in California.   Gateway Holdings  is  often used as a phantom or zombie creditor by scamming debt collectors.  Has a history on 800notes.  As does this "Western Litigation".

Received call. Didn't answer and left voicemail threatening to file papers with county court.

Threatened me with litigation over an Internet loan

Left a threatening message wanting to know the whereabouts of some person i dont know and said they would file at the local county courthouse and put the person ss# on hold. like really? do these people really think that i would fall for this? im so sick of getting these harassing phone calls about someone i dont even know. and when i tell them they have the wrong number they yell at me and tell me im lying.

I got a call from this number early this morning. They said I was being taken to court for fraud regarding a Citi Bank loan and checking account from back in 2009. I told the guy on the phone that I never had a bank account in 2009 (with any bank). He then said that he was looking at a different account and realized that it was from 2011. full of crap I tell you!!! As i continued to to tell him that he can mail me any court documents to the address they had on file - he hung up on me.

Nothing but hot air. Ignore and block if you can.

They called and left a threatening message that they were going to file court papers against me.  This is just crazy.  Sounds like a big scam.
