The number that came up on my caller ID at work was a 318 area code.  I didnt answer but there was a voice mail that said to call 855-243-4323.  I googled this number and the web site that came up was  www.scamfighters.com This is a scam.  don't even bother to answer the phone.  check out the web site.  

I did the same thing and got the same response.  Something needs to be done about these calls.

Left a message saying they recieved a bounced check.  I don't write checks jokes on them

I receive frequent calls from this number, but a different number shows up on my phone. It it annoying and they wont stop calling.  They often use a different phone number each time as their callback number.

Same thing happened to me.

They called 7 times and refused to send me anything by mail stating who I owed and how much.  They were rude and yelled at me. Then hung up on me. The company they said I owed money to I've never heard of..

they called a relative and said we were wanted for illegal credit card activity. wth? left a name of john  carmichael. he is out of the office each time we've called.

This scam collection agency is now using their list of zombie debt / dead debt to fax employers to phish for information in attempts to steal your identity. The following information was received last week.

The fax is directed to human resources director, manager, or owner of the company.
For a scare tactic/real feel effect they list the last four digits of one's social security number and a "file no."
They request the employee's position, date of hire, whether they are full time or part time, and if they are paid weekly or bi-weekly. They request the HR director/manager/owner and the employee's signature. *All information that can be easily used by identity thieves to commit fraud in the individual's name.

Report these criminals to your state's Attorney General's office, the ftc, and the fcc.
*Due to this scam firm apparently being located in Georgia, it might also be valid to file a report online with the Georgia Attorney General's office.

I got the exact same fax, but it had attn payroll. A search at the Georgia Secretary of State came up blank and proves it is a fake company. I wonder what placing a call to the Scottsdale, GA authorities and faxing them the copy of the fax would do? It's illegal activity right out of their town's own post office.

An actual Process Server is not going to have any conversation with you about any debt you owe, nor will they demand payment from you. If something like this happens, immediately call local law enforcement and make a full report including as much descriptive information as you can give them of the person impersonating a court officer.

They just called me saying I owed 800.00 to a company called Mesa financial ..and when I told her I think I would remember who I had a loan with she became very nasty ..I starting screaming back and she hung up on me.Genuine debt solutions llc..Represnting Mesa Financial //8552434323...They are very aggressive..they know just enough of your info to try to convince you of a debt you don't owe ..they are very convincing...I know better...beware.

A woman called and left a message on my answering machine. She did ot leave hername, but said that it was in regards to a returned check. She gave the number and extension to call back, with a file number to reference. The number she left was 855-243-4323 with extension 309.

I just got the same message. It is 'concerning' a bank transaction. she said it would not be favorable for me if I didn't call her back.... I checked my accounts - all is well. I hate crooks.....

Same experience as below and they are going through all our cell phones leaving same message. Sometimes they lose their place in the script. I got an automated call once and they told me it was a mistake!  I wish l knew where to report. I don't answer my phones anymore because of them. I only return messages. That shouldn't have to be the case!

Scamer message left as voice mail: "Director John Carmichael calling in regards to some returned items from your bank account it would be in your best interest to contact me as soon as you get this message my number is toll free it's 855-243-4323 my extension is 308. This is Director John Carmichael. I don't have an opportunity to speak with you I may have to render a decision that will not be your favor and forward."

*** Why would he have returned items from my bank?! I never wrote any check to him or ANY bad check?! ***

If that is even his real name - F*** Off John Carmichael - next time think up a better fake name!

But the recorded message still says to call the 855-243-4323 number back regarding bad checks.
I had a bad check case years and years ago when I was young, naive, and foolish. That was taken care of and closed all of those years and years ago.
They wont call you with messages, the officer (or whomever has the jurisdiction in your residence) will show up at your door, and let you know when you have to be at court etc.

I've looked into reporting these calls, but since they don't say who they are, how are you supposed to fill out all the info needed?

The lady calls me & my friend (who I believe 15 years ago he was my emergency contact number). Tells me it's an urgent to call her back. My attorney spoke either these guys or another type of company like this. When he said they have to send him the letters/invoices, the lady got nasty with him & hung up. They never called back until now.

They have bothered me at work , faxed papers, called my home & cell. They can't even ask for the right person. My HR DEpt sent me a paper with some of my info on it and wanted them to circle , sounds like little kids, I scream back at thme I have reported them to the Sheriff and numerous police depts. When you block thrie number it comes back unavaliabe I don't answer any calls I don't know the number I have the fax they sent my work.

received a call from 404-334-5961 and "Mrs. Brown" left a message saying I was the "Point of contact" for someone who is a distant relative - who I am pretty sure does not even know my number so I highly doubt I was ever his "point of contact" and it was an "urgent matter", blah blah blah and she gave a different number to call back (855-243-4323)- I got this call a few days ago but they never called back.  I kind of think with some of these that the reason some people get so many calls is that they either answer the first time and speak to them for a minute (so they know that maybe they can talk them into giving them some money) OR they call them back after they leave the voice mail - either way, I'm pretty sure that once you engage with them, that's when they become relentless and won't stop calling.

Just got a phone call it was a recording said they rec'd a return check...lol... ha jokes on them i haven't wrote a check in 4 years!!! scam....
