I repeadly get call from this #. This is a new phone # and evidently was held by someone that defaulted on some payments. They hang up on me everytime I try and explain that the person no longer has the #.

I got a call from this number saying that my microsoft account was in jeopardy. He sounded like he was from overseas(Indian)... I told him I didn't have a microsoft account or Windows computer/account and hung up...

Caller (Indian accent, apparently from a call center?) claims to be from Microsoft, asks for me by name, claims that they received "an event report" from my computer. Then he wants to know which OS the computer is using and instructs me to type something into the Search window. I do not want to do it, and he goes away.

No idea what this is about, but it seems to me that if Microsoft was "talking" to my computer, they would know which OS the computer was using.

Just received another call from this number. When I answer, there's total silence,then a machine says "Goodbye".

This guy claimed he was from India working for Microsoft and he received an error message while my wife was doing online shopping...then he asked me to go to event log to see some errors that was not there. He then asked me to give access to him so he could see my screen. I asked him how to do it, and he told me to open IE browser and go to a website...at this moment I realized what he was trying to do - he wanted me to download a "virus" so he could have control over my computer. I told him I work for FBI and he just hung up...Be very careful about these people!

Guy from india named "Jack". Yeah ok. Claiming To be from microsoft. I told him I had a mac then he hung up on me.

Repeatedly calls and when I finally answer a recording says "goodbye".

The same Indian guy from said that Micosoft had received several error messages and that he wanted me to type in eventvwr and run some checks.  When I did type it in and hit enter he hung up.  I have since deleted the program and running Norton scans and Micosoft Safety Scanner.  This is crazy and I was crazy to even do it.

the same thing is happening to me....two or three times a week.   It is so irritating...if there nothing that can be done?

Received a call from a heavily accented Indian claiming same thing.  Because we had computer problems the previous night, I listened for a bit.  He walked me through event viewer, and a system config tool.  Then asked me to give him access to my computer, and I replied HE called ME and I had no idea who he was.  He sent me to agent001.com to "prove" he was on the up and up.  I said I had to go, and he then claimed the 855 number was toll-free, and I could call him back.  Sounded too shady.

Got the same call. Very strange....

On May 11, 2012 "Jack"[***] called and went through his speach that my computer was sending "error messages" - I asked what company he represented he said " Technical Services" - bull crap. I hung up. Then 5 minutes later I get a call from the same number, ANDY ( sounds like Jack ) told me that " we know where you live" - I told Andy that I am in Florida - drop by my home sometime as Mr. Glock would like to me you- once in the brain and twice in the heart.

This is just a [***] scammer. New way to scam people. And yes I would drop him with Zero thought to were his brains went..

Just got call from India, guy named Charlie..same mo...wanted to go to my computer to go over messages he was getting from my computer.Yeah right!

Love it! Tried to tell me there was a problem with my Windows computer. I strung him along for awhile and finally told him I had a Mac. LOSER!

Same thing....have received several calls from this number....finally answered.....he claimed to be from Microsoft Windows...same scenario.  Wanted me to go to my computer....I finally hung up on him...had an Indian accent.......

This guy called my house, asking for me, and got my daughter.
She says he knew particulars about me, though she can't say what.
Then he led her through the same stuff on her personal laptop.
I'm treating this as having compromised her laptop, another
system that was on the network at the time, and possibly the
ISP's modem.

He called back later, and I had some choice words for him.

Hi Folks - got got a call as described by others - Sounds like some guy in a help-desk or call center telling me that my computer is sending them error messages. My account was therefore in jeopardy.  

-  When I ask of what - they could not explain.
-  When I asked who they were - they noted that they are subcontractors of Microsoft, but provided no further details.
-  When I called back 1-855 243 6810 the operator says "You call can not be completed as entered; Please try the call again"; did it 3 times and got the smae miserable message.  

See anything wrong with poising these rats?

This is one of dozens of "800 Service", "Unknown Caller", "Resolution Services", etc etc etc etc that call my landline daily.  I owe nobody money.  This week I got a VM about a "returned item from your bank."  Horses**t.  I NEVER pick up the phone to answer these calls, and you shouldn't either.  These mutts will get their just reward in the afterlife.
