- Sharita HamptonI've been receiving 6 to 8 calls from this number.

- Peggy Hall| 1 replyA man named John showed up at my door one morning looking for my son. He said he just wanted to keep my son out of jail. My son said he had not done anything. During the same time period my grandson also received calls from John telling him the same thing. My son and grandson have the same first names. Turns out, someone with the same first and last name as my son and grandson had done something in another state and they were trying to set a court date. Neither my son or grandson had ever been to that state. John has been harassing me, and them, daily. I do not need this stress. They should qualify their leads before terrorizing a family.

- Tatin| 3 repliesThey called my brother looking for me about a bogus court date. I was mortified. I don't have a criminal record and my bills are paid. They never called me directly, however, and I've had the same phone number for more than 10 yrs. I never give my brother's number to anyone so I have no idea how they got a hold of it. They are very shady and I can't believe they are getting away with that type of harassment.
I later found more info about this sham company:

Looks like the caller is "spoofing" a real businesses number - gee, I wonder why they'd do that, unless they're trying to scam people! So why don't YOU get your s*** right before you make a comment. - CWG40| 3 repliesLooks like the scammers are suffering hits to their income streams.

- BigSlickThese scumbags called my brother today asking for me, claiming to be a law office stating I have a warrant out for my arrest. They magically neglected to mention the name of the "law firm" they were from. Absolutely pathetic and disgusting, not to mention highly illegal. The Caller ID spoofing is a nice touch and also a federal crime because it violates FCC mandates.
- Dirt bagsGetting obnoxious calls from this number with some asshat trying to sound all threatening with a creepy deep voice. Its obvious [***]. Going to first block the number then report it.
- JanetReceived a call from them yesterday saying that they were going to be sending me certified documents in the mail. They also used different name. I was a little worried at first, but then released a sigh of relief after checking the number. It sounds as if they were trying to threaten me with some type of investigation.

- Jodi yacoub| 6 repliesHey guys so I was looking to see who called me and seen the comments on here. I have a question. I to was called saying I'd have a judgement against me from a test bank account. So after I talked to a bill lano, I still wanted to validate my so called debt. After going to td bank turns out I really had a balance due and they also said yes you can have a judgment. So my experience says it's possible some have a debt. I talked to my lawyer and he also says in some cases yes a debt company can in fact placed a judgement against you. So idk why so many says it's a scam. He gave my date it happened case nbr and account nbr. Td bank verified all of it. So in some cases I'd look into it before writing it off as a scam. I will say he also was very polite and worked with me to make sure I laid the balance but still had money to live on.

- arnold replies to Tatin| 1 replyQuestion, you said there from Washington. Are you aware there are 2 Nothern alliance companies? There not related story all. So which one are you talking bad about? 855 2447204 isn't in Washington
- Elspeth replies to Jodi yacoubSure he did. You cannot get a judgment against you unless you have (1) been served a court summons, (2) had your day in court and LOST. Unless the collectors used "sewer service" to serve you, in which case, you can sue the collector to have the judgment overturned. As usual, shills come here and say "it's legit", but are low on details - like legal company name, physical address and website if any. "So idk why so many says it's a scam." If you bothered to read the above posts, you'd see WHY it's a scam. And per the FDCPA, you should not pay any caller who refuses to MAIL - email and fax not acceptable - proof of debt/proof your caller has the legal right to collect said debt. Refusal to mail this documentation within five days of their initial contact with you is a violation of federal debt collection laws (the FDCPA). The alleged debtor doesn't have to prove anything - the debt collector bears the burden of proving that YOU actually owe THEM. Sorry, but your story doesn't fly.
- Slim replies to Jodi yacoubJodi -
You forgot something ... in fact, you forgot several things.
If you have a valid debt, the collector MUST notify you in writing ... a phone call is NOT legally sufficient!
Also, the "judgement" cannot be placed by a bank or collector. A "legal judgement" can only be placed by a court of law.
>> Hey guys so I was looking to see who called me <<
But, you said you KNEW who called you, and worked with them! There was no need to "look to see who called me".
So, it appears that you are shilling for the company that uses this phone number, and have been hoist by your own petard.
Lurkers:
The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:
* Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money. ["Written" means snailmailed ... not emailed or texted]

What is a "test bank account"?????
What was the name & address of the collections company? That would obviously be on the letter they sent you. - BigA replies to Jodi yacoub“Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive”--Sir Walter Scott (Scottish novelist)\
'nuf said. - CWG40 replies to Jodi yacoubYes, those Northern Alliance scam artists are very polite and will work with you and leave you money to live on.
Ummmm.....not likely.
Doesn't sound like the Cheektowaga New York debt collectors I know.
Christ! What is it about run-down New York small towns that attract so many debt scammers? - M. M.| 2 repliesthis is a serious scam! They called and said that we would be summoned for a court date and demanded a payment immediately. I'm so glad we didn't give them our payment information. I did some research. I called back and I only asked for a mailing address I got the runaround got put on hold many times and they refused to give it to me.
I informed them that the statute of limitation was expired on this debt and they could not sue me. They then got extremely angry and began hanging up on me multiple times. They even said they would call the police if I called back. In subsequent calls I was hung up on repeatedly, they said discriminatory, insulting, and vulgar things to me.
section 805C
a consumers right to notify a debt collector in writing that they wish the debt collector to cease further communication.
no legitimate company would use these tactics. absolutely refused to give me a mailing address. sometimes I would call and they would just make farting noises into the phone and then hang up.- Caller: northern alliance management
