Called my daughter and said they have a claim on me and if I didn't call them in 48 hours someone would be at my door or work! Saw where others had similar calls from 855 numbers.

Called this number back.  stating they had a claim from CashNet USA on me.  Debt was invalidated as the origional collection agency refused to validate the debt and also would not give me a physicial address to send correspondence to.  No name of company was given and when I called the "Law Office" back they never gave the name of the law office.  This is a total scam.  

Emailed me claiming a law suit and debt which is already paid off sent them.the paid off letter received no further response as of yet. Bunch of scam artists!!!

Debt collectors have the burden of proving that you owe a debt and that they have the legal right to collect said debt, per the FDCPA.  You should not pay any caller who refuses to mail - do not accept email or fax - proof you owe a debt and proof they can legally collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this documentation is a violation of federal law.

Follow the steps in what you need to know. A legitimate debt collector agency should not have a problem with giving you a real business name and address you can google and verify via google street view, BBB etc.

And folks should consider looking at maybe getting call blocking device or phone....you can Google them and many are around $60 or so.

I received a call left on the answering machine.  Saying they would seek legal action an again, from an area code 855 as all other scammers.  I didn't call back.

need to send proof. Cant accept someone claiming they paid an account over the phone, without that info companies have to assume not paid for. So next step can be legal action // in collections alot of people try to hide or stall legal action with false claims // its very simple to send proof paid if was paid.

received a call they wanted a credit card information to pay off or get started with installments for a cash advance I never did at Universal check cashing  from a sacramento area code but the lette emailed to me ws from minnetonka minnesotta SCAM!

Definite scammer. Got a robocall from the scumbags today. Trouble is they’re looking for someone who doesn’t live here and for the number of years I’ve been receiving these calls, whatever debt they’re calling about has to be years past the statute of limitations.

I sure would like to get an actual location of these scumbags so I could express my displeasure in person.

Harrassed daily by these people who claim my husband owes money for some quick cash loan he took out. They will not provide you with any proof of your debt. Requested proof several times to no avail. They should be prosecuted.

Paraphrasing: (Name of Deadbeat) We have received a formal complaint against your name and social security number.  We would like to receive a statement of intent regarding 6993232.  Call 855-244-7206 as soon as possible...

No way to get them to go away.  If the deadbeat ever had this number it hasn't been in years.  

I have been getting these calls now for 8 months.  It's always a robo call, and I think they go under different names.  I reported them to BBB, FTC, etc.  I just want these calls to stop.  I checked my credit reports and it's normal.  I have never heard of them or dealt with them.  Furthermore, I have never received any documents in the mail.  I've called them twice and the greeting is not professional or business like.  These calls are threatening and harassing.

I had the number 919-429-7387 on my caller ID. But the message the robot left was just like what everyone else is reporting and it told me to call the 855-244-7206 number. The 919 number is based in goldsboro nc.

had call this morning on my mothers answering machine from this number saying I had a complaint against my name and social security number.glad i looked up number before I called back as this is fraud if for a debt as I have none except child support.

Aggressive voices and threatening words. Leave misleasding and deceitful messages.  They try to get you to believe that they are a court and that they are suing you and that you have to have a date to appear in court.  If you ask them a question, even for clarification, they yell in your ear, "HOW DARE YOU CALL AND INTERVIEW ME!!! THIS IS NOT AN INTERVIEW COMPANY. "  If you say ANYTHING else, they yell, "STOP!!!"  and continue with threatening you.

I am constantly getting calls from 801-609-4767,801-405-7036 and 855-244-7206 threatening me that there is a pending legal matter but they never identify themselves to me.  I have looked this up and believe all 3 numbers are tied to the same company.  I want these calls stopped.  If there is a legitimate legal issue then whomever has this legal issue with me will also have my address and can mail me any documentation that proves such issue.  Please make sure this company discontinues its barrage of phone call assaults on me and many others.

Unfortunately there's no way to stop the calls from being initiated.   You can, however, protect yourself with a call blocker.  Also, don't pick up on numbers you don't recognize.   Sure sign of a scammer is refusal  to send any written validation of the debt by US mail.  

Ignore 'em.  Especially ignore 801, or/and 855 area codes.  888 area codes are bad news as well.

Hi Guys:

I highly recommend you report them to Consumer Financial Protection and FTC, and forth.   I got a respond from CFPB stated they can't identify this company, nor can they reach them for a response.  They are certain this is a fraud, and reported them to the appropriate authorities.
