This is a collection company that hides their identity.  The caller ID said "10". The company seems made up on the spot. They claimed to be "[-----] Capital" I think they just insert the nearest city name.

I checked into it, and there is no trace of it, except a company in UK that is unrelated.

They left a very aggressive legal threat on my voice mail. This is against the FDCPA. This doesn't even sound like a certified collector/company.

I asked for a mailing address or a true name of the company and the person who answered refused to give it. They refused to give ANY info. I asked for a mailing address and they told me POBOX 0251 Golden Lantern Unit E 364 Laguna Ca 92677.

These guys don't sound legit at all if they can't even give a proper company name.

Man called my job and claimed he has been trying to serve a summons and would not provide the company - just that he was working for some attorneys and to call this number  1-855-252-0117

company called and left message said they were IPF or IPS looking for a relative stating I was used as a reference. They asked me to relay the message.  

threaten to take me to court regarding my cc debt.

called my workplace claiming to be DEA then change to a collection agency and said that i will be pick up if i don't pay back from 2006.

A phone call, email or text message from a supposed debt collector is not legally sufficient evidence of debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:

* Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money.   ["Written" means snailmailed ... not emailed or texted]

Therefore, if that caller wants you to pay immediately, before you get the written validation notice via snailmail, or if the caller wants payment via green dot, Western Union, or other untraceable means, then the call is definitely not legitimate.

Currently they ID themselves as Rockland Capital Group.   No idea what that is.  Could be phony.  Can't find a Rockland that deals in debt collection.

If he bothers you agian, tell him you've made a complaint to the real DEA.

Also, go to your local police department and make a complaint of extortion.

I've been getting the same call at work as well.

these people called and said they recieved a complaint about me.  I have done nothing wrong.  I am turning this # into the BBB and see if they can get this to end. they are a fraud and are trying to get people scared and pay them money and then they will run with it.

A Man, MR. ROBERT GARCIA called my job and claimed he has been trying to serve a summons to an address from 7 years ago.  And would not provide the company - just that he was working for some attorneys, Ms. Tori Garcia and to call this number  1-855-252-0117 I CALL BACK, AND NO SUCH PERSON OR PEOPLE EXIST!!

These people who can't speak english called 3 times in 1 hr. 1St call said they were the treasury and asked who I was told them name out of a John Wayne movie upon checking the name I guess.they hung up. 2Nd call asked if I would be home for them to serve a summons from a neighboring county. I hung up on that one they dont call you to serve a summons courts just serve them. Also checked the county court there is no case against me.. 3rd call i ignored and they left this number .. THEY ARE SCAMMERS

Got a text message with this number attached to call because my bills had been chosen for savings. No other details.  The number that text me was 844-416-6301. Odd to get a text from one number to call another number.

It is a scam.
