Persistent Wachovia cold calls

Called at 1:26pm on 1-15-11.  Left no message on my answering machine.   I have two caller ID devices on my line and one showed "out of area" and the other showed "no name received."    I have a Wachovia  account so a bank cold call would make sense.   Thanks to others for IDing.

855-257-1978 was told to me by the telephone operator to be from Cambodia. I have been getting these calls for days and I never pick up calls from numbers I do not know.

Called repeatedly and asked for a person who doesn't live here whom I've never heard of

caller ID showed number only. I did not answer. no voicemail message was left.

They've been calling every hour on the hour. I have no relationship in any way with Wachovia or Wells Fargo, and I'm not answering.

i have no idea who or what this callers business was as this caller just stayed on the line and did not say anything, so I hung up, other people have commented this is just another rude telemarketer, they should leave us alone.  thank you

I have a story:
The phone rang once. I was sitting right by the phone, so after the call registered on the caller ID, I picked it up without delay and answered.
On the other end, there was silence.

I see this number on my telephone when I return back home.

Called every day every hour. I called back and have been removed from there system I hope it holds.

They call me non-stop! I have gotten 1 message from Wachovia just asking me to call them back--they did not say why.  I have no accounts with Wachovia so no reason they should be calling me. I am on the DO NOT CALL registry. How are they allowed to continue to call everyday?!

Same as everyone. I don't answer and no message. If you have call blocking on your phone carrier and pay for the service, just block the call.

We get calls every day from these people.  It is infuriating!  They act stupid too.  My answering machine picks up, my message plays, then the people say, "Hello?  May I speak to blahblahblah?"  What???  Are they clueless or just saying that to pretend to those listening that they got someone on the phone?

At any rate, I called the number and got an automated response asking if I wanted to be removed from the call list.  I entered my phone number, pressed 1, then got "I'm sorry, I do not understand your response."

I get a call three to four times a day from the same number.  The first six or seven times I answered the phone but there was only silence and then the caller hung up.  I ignored the last few calls but the number comes up over and over again on my caller ID.  However, there is never a message.
