Same thing here. No caller ID, no message left. Can't be too important.

Who are these nuts who call at all hours either with number unknown or unavailable?  Don't they have anything better to do than bother people?  I receive these calls on a daily basis--some in the early morning, late evening (9-10:30) and on weekends!  Outrageous!

I took a chance and answered and was met with "dead silence" which accurately and clearly describes the contents of the caller's brain - "DEAD-SILENCE". Oh that they would show their sicko faces in Texas and pull their little phone scams. Texas justice is swift and hard....come on down and let's see you make your scam calls in the Lone Star State.

That's WHY they are nuts...as you said.

This number calls me all hours of the day and I want them to stop.  I am on the Do Not Call list and cannot understand why they call.  Who are these people?  They do not identify themselves.

I received a call from this number as well.  It turned out to be PETA looking for money from me to pledge against the fur trade in China.  I'm not sure how legitimate it is.  I was skeptical to give money over the phone, so I asked for them to send me the information in the mail.  

I do donate to PETA already, so I wasn't surprised that the caller had my address and phone number.  However, I am waiting to see what comes in the mail to see if this call was indeed from PETA or not.

Not from PETA. A scam. I called PETA and they said that this is a long running SCAM. She told me that PETA never uses phone solicitation so any call I get from "PETA" looking for funds is a scam.
I do donate to them once in a while.
I called PETA and emailed them and got the same answer.

It is PETA calling for funds. Legit donation seeking for certain large campaigns they have, usually a fund will be doubled campaign, etc.

Anonymous on the caller ID...Me like a fool answer.....No one on other end!!!!!! Why can't this be treated as a violation of ones privacy?????

Who knows.  Go see an attorney.

They called me to, they knew i sent a donation to PETA  last month.  This  is scary.

Do these people know i have a relative in the FBI.

this number calls everyday, somtimes twice in one day. no one is there when i answer the phone,
i just don't answer  that number anymore, but still it's very irritating.

When they called my home, I simply said "hang on a second" and then I never came back. Somehow they are unable to disconnect for some reason at their end and screamed into the phone. I just ignored them and laughed so they could hear me. They never bothered me again.

Second time today....

I just received a call from this number and of course left no message . I called it back and it was Peta ! What are they afraid to say who they are ???

Today is Dec. 23rd @ 5:45PM ........I just received a call from this number but did not answer it ...... my curiousity got the best of me so I called it back ..... the message I got was that " it was PETA calling and they were sorry they missed me but they will try again in a few days ''     Hope they don't ...... I just won't answer again or like I tell the others  ''  FOCK OFF '' .....get it ?
