- WSCall this AM saying a possible relative was possibly involved in a civil suit and they needed to contact her. I did not give any info and told him I would pass the info on to them.
- ColleenMy mom received a message from a, Mr. Horowitz. He didn't leave his first name but said he was legal representation. Said there were indiscrepancies with her name and SS number. Neither her nor I give out our SS numbers over the phone. I had a scare myself, earlier this year, thinking I was in trouble with the IRS. Knowing full well I'd never done anything wrong, it still scared me. They told me that they would be calling the police where I live and I would be going to jail. I called the police and they assured me that it was a scam and that I wasn't the only one that this had happened to. They had others that had called about this has well. It's been happening far too much and a lot of people fall for it.

- Calm down and think replies to jeffHow can you even ask this question? Did you make a deposit in your bank account during the time they say you did? What do your bank records show? You do know, don't you? This is a very very very well known extortion scam. The people that called: What are their names? What is their address? All of this can be checked on line, which is why they won't give it to you. How long ago was this 'loan'? No one's bothered to call you until now? The idea behind this scam is to scare you into paying, or giving personal/financial information. I can guarantee if you have a lawyer call them, they'll hang up and move on to their next victim.
- Gunnar replies to jeff| 2 repliesIt's a 100% Scam & from your post I'm pretty sure you know that. You see "jeff", your glaring illiteracy & the way your run-on post is worded just screams "I'm a foreign SHILL!"
But, let's give you the benefit of the doubt. If you were sent some certified mail, a notice would be left. You'd then be able to sign for it at the Post Office. No notice was left because no certified mail was sent. No mail of any kind was sent. Scammers don't send mail.
Information isn't sent to county "Attornies" & then left to Judges to "decied" if "charges of defrauding" would be brought. It doesn't work that way "jeff". For one thing, debt is a civil matter. Not criminal. The "bad check" routine has been exposed here countless times. It's old news. Next, Judges oversee courtroom procedures & make rulings. They don't decide if charges are going to be brought. That's left to lesser mortals & grand juries. Most Americans are well aware of that. Foreign frauds aren't. Finally "jeff", if your caller was actually with a law firm they'd know all of this. So, your caller was a SCAMMER! Simple as that. Case closed!
Gunnar - king replies to Gunnar| 1 replySo You people take out loans and don't pay them back and when your contacted to resolve this its a scam because your a low life deadbeat that takes advantage of lending institutions and cries wolf because you still don't have the money to pay it back please you people make me sick, all you debtors are a drain on society, super debtors .
- Gunnar replies to kingDream on Scammer! I don't take out loans from fraud shops. I deal with legitimate lenders & I've never defaulted on a loan in my life. You're just a miserable fraud who's upset that your scam has been busted here. If someone owes a legitimate debt they're informed of it in legitimate ways. By mail. Not by some Scammer trying to collect over the 'phone! You know that & I know that. Now everyone that reads this thread will know that!
Go get a real job Fraud-boy. You're not smart enough for scamming.
Skeff Ett Liv!

- needstostopIntegrated Services is a junk debt collector. They do not have a legal department and do not have pre-legal services. They break every collection law there is by their scare tactics and they are relentless. They are not coming to your home or your business - those are lies - but they will contact your friends and family members and will share information about you that may or may not be true, which is also illegal. You may or may not owe a debt and they may or may not have purchased the rights to the debt. But they are unwilling to follow any type of legal practices for collecting said debt. Integrated Services is out of New York near Buffalo. You can file a complaint with the NY Attorney General's office (online) and they will forward the complaint to the Integrated Services. This may be enough to make the calls stop, simply by alerting the company that you're on to them. Chances are, they purchased or were assigned your information by United Debt Holdings, LLC out of Colorado. You can file a complaint with the BBB and they will actually respond. You can also file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at consumerfinance.gov and can simultaneously file a complaint against both companies. If you owe a debt, you should try to find out where the debt originated. If you can figure that out, they should be able to tell you who they sold the debt to, and provide their contact information. You should make every earnest attempt to make payment arrangements IF YOU OWE THE DEBT. But do your due diligence to make certain you really owe it and that the person or company that is telling you that you owe it to them actually owns the debt. And do not, under any circumstance, give this company access to your bank account or your debit card. Good luck.
