- Paige HerrinThese people woke me up very early in the morning pretending to have information regarding my deceased husband who's body was never recovered and has a missing persons case. They claimed to have information about his whereabouts. (he drowned in the ocean 8 years ago). There are family members who are still holding out hope that he will be found alive. this is a very cruel tactic used by this company. my 2 daughters were 11 and 13 when this happened. Now they are in college. I would hate for this company to call them pretending false hope. Whats even worse is after i contacted this company, they informed me that they do not have a case for him (he never even went to college), but that it was regarding someone else altogether with the same last name. There research is shoddy and their tactics are cruel.

- EllieThis nimber called and said they were looking for a aquaintance of mine who i haven't seen in 8 or 9 years. Said this number was on his list and they needed to contact him immediately that they have been looking for him but can't find him and need to get in touch with him as it's very important. Ask me for his parents name and where they lived, do i have an address and phone number for him or do i know anybody that would know where he is. Don't know who they are but should probably hire themselves a private investigator if they can't find someone that there desperately looking for, don't you think. The person i spoke to said her name was Casey.

- Ky| 1 replyI received full Loan Forgiveness (due to disability) in 2006 and had to wait til 2009 for it to "complete". Now, these jokers are trying to collect on a Forgiven loan, nearly 6 years after the initial Forgiveness, for a loan taken out in 1999?? The guy on the line got belligerent when I told him the loan has been Forgiven, and tried to claim he could garnish my SSI, which is absolutely false. The government can only garnish for overpayment of SSI, not even student loans. He even acknowledged that my loan had been fully forgiven, but he claimed I still "owed it" anyhow. Guess he knows his company bought an uncollectable account, and he's just trying to recover some money from it. Not very "professional".

- HCThese junk debt buyers are relentless. They go to any extreme to try and recover any funds. The following is just my honest opinion based on my own experience and to follow my opinion is at your own legal risk:
Most of the time if not all of the time they are breaking the law. Fight back! Don't try to work with them. They will eat you alive even if you settle. And come back for seconds. Debt collections is big business and they prey on your ignorance and fear. They know this and will try and get you to settle. Educate your self and quit running scared. Who cares what they threaten. They no more can garnish your wages than I can. It takes a lawsuit and winning a judgement against you. Number one defense is to have a smart phone and purchase a very simple application called "Call Control". It's only a couple of dollars, but worth a whole lot more. First of all, don't be a slave to your phone. When someone calls and you don't know the number and they don't leave a message, just google the number. Most of the first results will have have comments stating that the number is usually a solicitor or debt collector. Don't pay for some service to do a reverse look up. This info is readily available. Immediately block that number and set your "Call Control" application to not even ring or notify you when a blocked number has been blocked. Don't even let them leave a message. They will keep calling and not leave a message and fill your voice mail quickly. Have your app simply answer and hang up on the blocked call. Trust me, your peace of mind is far more important. Go live your life! - M. replies to KyMy brother who lives in another country got a call from this number she said she had some mail with my SSN on it and said her name was Beth. My loan has been paid off for 8yrs but was sold to another bank with a few hundred left to pay & they combined 2 separate loans into one, then tried to raise the amount I owed. Last time a collector called my step mother saying she was an old friend trying to track me down, and she gave them my phone number. the company had bought the incorrect remaining 200 dollar balance from the bank apparently & tried to force me to pay money I don't owe, it costs me 40bucks to send all my paperwork across the ocean reg/insured mail. now apparently another debt company is trying the same tricks.
- HR AmyCall from this number asking for a "Chris".
I replied "No one, except me, is available at this number" and offered to take a message. They declined to identify which "Chris" they were looking for. She refused to identify herself by name or by company.
She stated at me "So Chris doesn't work there anymore?" To which I replied that I would not give any information to an unknown person over the phone.
She hung up. - dog ladyThese people call multiple times a day and never leave a message. If it were truly a legitimate collection agency, people would be receiving notices by mail. Collection agencies like this hire thugs to try and intimidate anyone who answers a phone call.my advice - don't answer unless you actually received a certified letter.

- Kansas Farm MomWyndham Professionals called our home asking for my Adult Special Needs son who is hearing impaired. They would not speak with me. They would not tell me what kind of business was calling. I told them not to call again and take his name and telephone number off of their calling list. If they are a collection agency, my son does not owe any bills nor do bills arrive in his name.
