I received a call on my business line from 408 796 3236.  A female caller left a message, claiming to be "Jackie with Merchant Services" calling to "speak to the person in charge of my VISA/Mastercard merchant account", and saying that "a rate increase may have been applied to your account", and to please call 855 270 9974 x 7774 . After she read the spiel, also in my recorded message, she says to someone else, "What are you doin'? You got something?"  DEFINITELY a scam, because I have NO merchant account!

I received a call from that number and after doing a Google Search, it became clear that this is a Spam.

Someone by the name of Vicki called and left a message to call her at 855-270-9974 ext 7060. This is concerning credit processing reimbursement. I figured it was a scam since it began with area code 855 so I google'd it and sure enough it appears to be.

Someone called me by the name of Shawna at 855-270-9974 ext 7084. Something about how my fees were going to be increased and they wanted to have someone stop by and explain the fee hike through Visa and MasterCard. Basically this is a company, Merchant Services, that is looking to get you to change your Merchant Account. After getting the information from Shawna about who would be stopping by the office, I did a google search with my current merchant information and the information she provided me with. Since the email addresses didn't match, I called her to cancel my meeting with "Chad"

Someone keeps calling me by the name of Berny at 1-855-270-9974 ext 7048. Stating that my fees were going to be increasing and they need to come meet with the owner. Berny said that he was above my provider and that's why he needs to meet with us. Berny is very calm and didn't get too pushy. However, I did ask for them to not call and they keep calling anyway.

Someone from number 1855-270-9974 x 7048 keeps calling our business. We don't want them to call back and have asked them to stop calling. They clam they must meet with the owner about the increasing visa/mastercard fees.

Bernie left a message about needing to speak with me about my visa/master card machine and the fees.  I thought it sounded fishy and I guess it was.

I just received a call from Jennifer and she said she was from Merchant Services and to call her back at 855-270-9974 ext 7816.  Since the number she called from was 714-230-0039, I thought it was fishy and checked here before calling back.

Yep, Merchant Services wanting to let me know that we have been overcharged on our Visa/MC card transactions. I asked her what company I had and she didn't know.  So I asked her how she knew this and where she got a copy of my statement, of course she started to back pedal and restate that it was a good chance I was overcharged. Two years ago I let these guys come down, I just wanted to see what they were offering and the rates weren't bad, so the salesman was pushy and started to fill out the paperwork. I read it completely and noticed there was a huge charge for equipment and a two year contract and worse was the buyout, it was the complete amount for the equipment plus some. Over 3k to cancel? 225 a month for a machine??? This is a legit business but a Rip-off as far as prices go and they overcharge for terminals and have sales people who are high pressure. Stay away or better yet "F" with them, send them to your neighbors and watch them as they get there time wasted!They don't like that, my salesman was so mad when I caught him, when I asked to have a copy of the prices he quoted so I could shop he said No?!? WTF? Confident?NO

Another random sales call.  Too bad they don't research their calls a little bit more thoroughly.  They were mentioning that processing fees were increasing and they wanted to come talk with me about the new fees.  1) we don't take credit cards and the company doesn't have one  2) I called my bank to verify they didn't suggest this call for us.  I told the salesperson that I would call them back on Monday.  But I won't because it's a waste of my time and theirs.

Got a call today on my business phone from "merchant services" today.  I don't have a merchant account and wish they would stop calling.

Caller ID said 800-345-6243, the caller said that "due to a rate increase", that they would like to schedule a "statement review" and to call 855-270-9974. As per other callers, this is not our bank, our fees did not go up recently; it's an unsolicited sales call for "the person who handles the credit card account". Deleted, did not call back.

I called the number back after getting a message from my assistant and when the phone answered the person on the other end said "Yesss", I said "who is this?" and he replied, "who is this?". I hung up. 30 seconds later I was called back by the same person and told how 'rude I was for hanging up' and 'how his mother taught him to' .... blah, blah, blah. I hung up.

My take on this is, as far as scammers go, these folks have missed the boat. I would think the first rule in a scam is not to [***] your potential victims....definitely a bunch of idiots.

Got a call from Nicole saying that she is from Merchant Services and wanted to discuss credit increase in VISA/MASTERCARD with person who manages the credit cards.

Told Nicole that the person is on the other line and offered to take a message.
And she gave me the number 855-270-9974 ext. 7012.
After that I insisted in finding out what exactly this was regarding and she didn't seem too happy and repeated the same exact thing she stated in the beginning, but in a slightly more heated tone, assuming that she could see that I was catching on...

And we just hung up.

Someone took a message for me from Nancy at Merchant 855-270-9974 ext 7807 regarding a billing matter.  reading the above messages, obviously a scam.

Two voicemail messages from Erica Judd at 855-270-9974 x7077 regarding our Merchant Services account.  I called her back and told her never to contact us again, as I know who handles our Merchant Services account.  She tried to argue with me, but I told her don't call again and I hung up.  Interesting that caller id showed an El Dorado, Kansas phone number when she called, but that wasn't the number she wanted me to call her back at.

Voicemail message from Natalie at Merchant Services, 855-270-9974 ext 7167 regarding a 10/01 rate increase and requesting a statement review.  Caller ID came up as 800-345-6243.

I get this call every few days...so I now tell them to send the rep. When he arrives I tell him to get out. He is happy because he gets paid by them for coming and I am happy I wasted their time and money like they waste mine. I have never shown him a statement and would never switch to a company like that. I just like to cost them time and money for nothing. Everyone should do this to them until they see they made several trips to your store and stop calling you!

We received a call from 1 855 270 9974 Ext.7056, Stacy Aulan.
She said she needed information from previous months of our Credit Card because there was going to be a rate increase starting in October.
We thought it was kind of fishy, considering the area code, so we decided to Google it and came across this forum.

They called me and claimed to be my merchant processor and that they overbilled me.  As soon as she asked what my discount fee was that i was paying I knew it was a scam.  I said you are my merchant processor, shouldn't you know my rate?  Then she said we work with your merchant processor, blah, blah, blah.
