Called twice, and hang up. It's a long distance call, so I never answer, but they don't leave message.

I too, am getting calls from this number every day...sometimes 2-3 times a day. When I answer, they hang up, then when I called back, it says that it is a collections agency?!?!?!   What is up with this?!?!

They call all the time and say nothing. Sometimes they hang up right away then sometimes they just listen for a few minuets or until I hang up. This is harassment I'm sure.

definitely not a REAL rbc collector... cuz I'm on a joint credit card with my wife, who is the primary card holder, and they have no idea who I am, and they don't know either credit card number... definitely a scam

    Hey guys,

I've been receiving up to 3 calls a day from these jokers for the past week. I called the number back, and only got an automated menu that I couldn't understand because it was entirely in French. I called RBC (my branch) and someone looked into it. Turns out, it is a legitimate number. I was shocked. Apparently they are calling because I was 30 days late on paying my RBC credit card bill (oops, serves me for being scatter brained), but I asked why they never left a message and the person at RBC said that they "don't leave messages". I suggested that this number may want to make themselves appear a little less sketchy in the future (ie: when it says "for service in English, press 2" and the automated response is still in French... fix it). He thanked me for looking into it and protecting myself with all the scams going on right now but... I'm still skeptical... I'm waiting to see if the calls stop after making my payment.

Alot of collection agencies are sketchy. Why would RBC's be any different. My friend is on strike and making only strike pay, (not alot), has been since Sept. 1st. We tell everyone who calls this. They still keep calling. What is she supposed to do ?

    Hi,
So I spoke with RBC, they said they have no way of knowing who's calling me on their behalf or why. This is the third time this has happened with this number, even after I had it blocked on my rogers account. The first two times I had to call they said it was because I qualified for a new credit card, the second time it was because my checking account could be renewed to get some sort of rewards plan. Today I call (3rd year in a row) and they say they have no way of knowing this kind of info. Sketchy? Very
