    Sick of Calls
This number just called my father for me.  In the past I have given his information as a reference for different financial applications and such.  The man on the phone said I had a bad check from 2005 and they were turning it over to my county court house this week.  He told my dad they were going to suspend my drivers license and registration to my vehicle.  RIDICULOUS!!!  I don't know who these people think they are, but above the law they are not.  I have contacted my local sheriff's department and there are no on-going criminal or civil charges, which I already knew.  To make threats to someone about their daughter is absolutely a joke.  Sad thing is so many people become scared from these types of calls.  My father thought it was serious until I explained how pathetic this world has become with such a great number of scams.  When I called back they would not give a physical address (first sign business is bull), would not mail me information with proof (second sign business is bull). .  Why would a legitimate business not give their physical address and bill collectors are required by law to mail debt information.  Also, 2005.....7 years ago, they must think I am stupid!!!

Great advice posted by an attorney on:
    https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-718-732-0174

"IF they do not provide you with the verification of the debt, the debt is invalid and not subject to collection.  PAY NOTHING TO ANYBODY UNLESS THEY PROVIDE YOU WITH WRITTEN VERIFICATION OF THE DEBT, AND ONLY THEN IF YOU FEEL THE DEBT IS VALID - otherwise, let them sue you for the debt, as a real law firm will only bring a legal action on a truly valid debt".

They are a legitiate company. I paid my debt, got my mail that confirms I have. They are pretty friendly and even allowed me to set up a payment plan that was convient for me.

I received a phone call from these people today. It seems someone used my name as a contact person while getting a loan. They informed me that this person has 2 criminal charges against them (or will when they finish the audit) and that I may also be implicated. They said he used me as a reference. Since when can people get charges pressed on them because someone used them as a reference? Okay, even if this company is trying to collect a bad debt from someone, what gives them the right to scare people that don't have anything to do with it? I just don't get it. A contact person is going to get charges pressed on them because someone used their name and defaulted on a loan? I don't get it! AND what happened to the privacy act? They told me everything concerning this person and I don't believe that's legal.

I tried deleting this and realized I don't know how....but...I just received a phone call from this company. They were very nice, explained everything and apologized. This is a ligit company and they are trying to work something out with the person that owes. The man I talked to, as I said, was very nice, very polite and I'm so glad he called. He explained everything to my satisfaction and  am no longer feeling threatened, nor am I afraid to talk with them again. Of course it helps that it's not me that has the debt. lol

My sister called me today and told me that the same number keeps calling her and asking for me. My sister and I don't live in the same state. Told her I wrote a "bad check"in 2010. I haven't owned a checkbook since my teen years. I did call, no one answered. Im going to have to tell my sister to tell them to send all the paperwork in the mail before I make any arrangements.
    * As soon as hear from this "Mike" guy I will update my post.

A man with an American accent called my sister and told her I have being writing bad checks and that my case is being forwarded to court by their company called "Quantum Management".This of course is the biggest lie. They called my brother -in- law who is working out of state right now and told him I was involved in social security fraud. Both calls were made within minutes of each other.Wow! He sounded so convincingly and lawyerly and gave her names to contact.
In actual fact, I used both my sister's and brother-in-law's names as references whenever I applied for a job, loan and so on. THEY ARE GOD DAMN HACKERS ! PEOPLE BEWARE ! All the info they have about me is the last 4 digits of my SS #. People from this bogus company used to call me but they have very heavy and unmistakeable INDIAN OR PAKISTANI ACCENTS.Must be because people suspected their nefarious schemes, they included an American in their fold so as to appear legitimate and deflect any suspicions the populace may have.Arm yourself with the following:
    1. Ask for their office address. They will never give it but if by chance they do, go on line or dial 411 on your phone for a phone # to that office and talk directly to them.
2.They will insist on you doing an EFT(electronic funds transfer) by wiring the money. NEVER EVER DO THIS. It will be very hard to trace them.
3.Tell them you want to pay them by check or MO. Their answer will be NO -this is the most definite red flag. Why would not anyone who is owed money accept any method of payment? If they deposit your check, they will be caught so very easily.
    4. They will be so assertive and play the dominant role. DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED. STAND YOUR GROUND. You did nothing wrong. But even if you do, there is a process taken to bring you to justice. REMEMBER, THE LAW THREATENS NOBODY. The law doesn't take anything from you without first giving one the opportunity to defend oneself or before all avenues to collect what is owed has been exhausted.
5.Do NOT supply them with any piece of info whatsoever. If they are genuine collectors they will have the relevant info.
6.NEVER CALL THEM DIRECTLY FROM YOUR PHONE. They will be calling you incessantly. Call from a public phone and not your work phone. If from home, Dial *67 then their # this will should make your # untraceable.

These guys and their so -called woman secretary have been calling me the past 2 years. They are so persistent. I asked  them several times to take me to court but they will not. Finally I told them they are being recorded and that their number is being forwarded to the FBI. They hung up. I called back immediately several times on different days but no one picked up.
GOOD LUCK FOLKS. NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE IN. DO NOT SURRENDER- EVER!

I wish I read this site before I made any agreements with this company. I checked their website on the letter, it is under construction. Since I had a pay garnishment recently, I wanted to pay back another debt right away. So I'm still wondering if I made the right choice.

Just got a call from 'Dave' at Quantum Management. He said a Cynthia Elaine Green had written a bad check and listed my wife as a reference. He then asked if I was ?? and used my name. He said he needed a statement about Cynthia. My wife doesn't know anybody by that name and since when does anyone give references when writing checks?

Quantum Management called my work twice. I asked them to email me documentation about what they were trying to collect on.  They only sent me a past due letter and did not respond to my request for written and signed documentation. They said they would just file.  I believe this company and people are fraudulent.  BEWARE!!!

NEVER GIVE YOUR INFO TO THIS COMPANY! THIS IS A SCAM! They have employees posting in here with BS. This is a FRAUD! They leave messages telling you they have legal action against you, they do not know who they are calling, it is believed they have obtained information via websites that people have used to complete loan documents, such as car loans and pay day loans.

They will not send you any papers. They are not in the USA! Never agree to pay anything to anyone unless they prove you owe them money.

For me these people have been calling for more than 2 years, it is always the same BS. I have never had any loans or any other bad debt. I have had an attorney call them to attempt to get the legal info needed such as the name and bar number for the attorney they claim will sue me. They hang up. REPORT THIS TO THE FBI AS INTERNET SCAM AND FRAUD!

Sadly they are not in the USA and there is really nothing anyone can do to make them go away other than ignore them and change your numbers. Anyone you may have used for a reference on loan papers may get threatening phone calls from them as well.

This company is a scam. Do not give them any money. They contacted me with info from an actual debt that is owed and have my personal info but the company is a fraud. I repeat. FRAUD. Do not listen to them. They have no business license or any connection to an attorney. Just hang up on them. If you want to really know, just look up your credit report and see who has a debt that is owed and who is collecting on it. Beware of these types people calling you, they asked me for my credit card info and threatened me with lies. The other threads posted on here about them being legit is a lie. Contact BBB, they are not a real company. they have hacked your info.

JIM .... IF that is your real name... MR BRIDGES!!! If you acknowledge the debt, as you did on our voicemail recording, the only scam is YOU  !! We are recognized on the BBB as a legitimate company and will continue on a day to day basis for many years to come. The only reason you feel the need to complain or rant is because you do not want to handle your affairs. BUT, do not worry. We have the means to handle them for you. Mr B, the type of debt that this is will not show on ones credit report until the proper steps are taken....which we are leading the way down that path for you. You have taken out a loan with no intention of paying it back, do not use our company as a scapegoat not to pay your bills. Do you rant on the electric, gas, water companies forums as well when you have a shut off notice? Good luck to you down the road, we will be in touch!!!
