called looking for me. makes it sound like an official "complaint against" me but think it is a telemarketer. definitely not a lawyer.

yes an overly nice woman said someone was trying to serve me documents, but as I know of, nobody has ever tried to reach me at home...they can't come to your work...crazy!!!

This number originates from a collection company called Keller & Associates.  They pretend that they are a law firm wanting to  have you served with legal documents when in fact they are not and do not have legal documents for you.  They give a "document" number NOT a docket number.  When pressed they will finally admit that nothing has been filed in a court of law against you but will tell you it's in the "pre-filed" state. The call I received was for an old debt whose statute will run in the next few months.  They called my mother and scared her to death because they strongly implied that they were about to have me arrested!!  I am reporting them to the state attorney general's office and the FCC.  I recommend everyone who has received similar calls to do the same!

Sooooooo. . . . Did you pay off the debt years ago, or do you still owe it, & are hoping the SOL will run out? (...was for an old debt whose statute will run in the next few months)
