Got a call from this number today. Claiming they are investigating a fraud case of someone I know. And that I need to call them back or forgo my rights.

I called the number back and put in the extension but nothing came up.

Recieved a message from a MS WILSON claiming to be ACE CASH EXPRESS... if i didn't pay my loan from 12/08 they will contact county office for prosicution... Loan was paid 3/09 - 7/09 - contacted ACE CASH EXPRESS OFFICE - he told me to ask for a refference # and if they can't provide one ... they are fraud... Called MS WILSON BACK- they again couldn't provide referrence # given... Have been harrased and almost scammed.. threatend with Legal prosicution for a loan of 441.84 to 3500.00 in legal fees.
Very upset.

Just got a call from a number in Florida being told they are seeking legal action against me. Left this number as a contact number and an extension 808. Called back and of course no one can be reached but leave a message and we'll get back to you. Researched both numbers and every post about them says they are a scam. If i hear back, I'll update this.

I received a similar call at 11:00 am today with a message about legal action.  Ms Randolph at x809.  Not calling back because I know it is a scam.  Just hoping to protect people out there.

I also received a call and I was told I presented a check to Ace cash. I stated I had NEVER been there she read off a social that didn't belong to me. When I told her that wasn't my social and it wasn't they told me to disregard the call...

We have received a few calls from this # claiming my wife committed "check fr;aud" at a time & location that were patently impossible.  Today takes the cake though, I found a  crudely scrawled note taped to our front door saying "fraud investign (sic) #1001 - call 1-855-276-0500 Kelly Smith".   If I capture video, can I use it as evidence, or should I just give all the info to a family member who is a US Marshal and see what shakes loose ?

person did not identify who he is working for, voice mail just says this is Investigator Jim Fox, check fraud division (of what?) and he is investigating a possible fraud and to call a number 855-276-0500 however the caller ID says a florida number of 904-647-6966 and he almost told me to call the 904 # but changed it. Have no clue........

Same message was left at my parents house today..haven't lived there in 8 years....this is sad for people to do this...

My father in-law just received a called and it was from a Mark Decker at ext 808 from this number. Supposedly this was in regards to a check issue in Kansas for my wife,  which my wife has no knowledge of. I just called the number and got a voice mail to leave a message and they would call back. I have been in collections for over 20 years and currently I am a Director of Collections for a collection agency in Tulsa OK. I would caution anyone that gets a call from this number not to release any private information to this company. Go to the original creditor if there is even one.

Called my grandma and said there's a case against me and they want to help me. Saw it was a scam via this site and called to leave them a message saying I knew it was a scam and to not call anymore. They freaked my grandma out. Poor thing. They should be ashamed.

ALL LIES!!! This number came on my ID but was told to call 855-276-0500 ext 808 and to ask for Kelly Smith with a bogus case number...FOR STARTERS, Fraud LOL really? I don't even own any checks and haven't in about 7 years. A bankruptcy lawyer said that you can not be placed in jail for a payday loan- it is NOT CONSIDERED A HOT CHECK (regarding the state of TX) nor can you be put in jail for failure to paying a debt unless it was like rent a tire and you did not give them there tires back LOL...seriously! All of America would have a case/ go to jail including this country itself which is in debt. DO NOT LOSE SLEEP OVER THESE PEOPLE! KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! THEY SAY THINGS CAUSE THEY THINK YOU DON'T KNOW BETTER!

Someone named Kelly Smith called said it was something about fraudulent department.  Said to ask for ext 808. Something returned by my bank. My bank knows nothing about this call.

Received the call -message- stating that they want to help me with pending legal action. Everything mirrors the other calls listed/associated, 855 276 0500, in this fraud.  The name used in our Case is *Sarah Barnes an attorney who is currently under arrest for murder - so Big Alert.  The only twist is we also got a call from a similar number 855 276 2500.....When we called back the person who answered said he knew nothing about a call to our home number - so I don't know where that came from but apparently the scam is afoot in California.

*The message that left on our answering machine was afro and the  Sarah B. in custody does not fil that profile...This group is so sloppy have they succeed in harming anyone?  Good Luck...Hope no one has actually been hut by this inept group.

I received a called from APG AND ASSOCIATES from a Natalie Tompkins stating I need to call them back before they take action gave me case number. I am scared, but refused to call them back. They left a number 866 277 7880 ext 303 261 5786 and stating a complaint has been made against me.

Don't call them back.  Don't talk to them.  Block their calls.  They have a long history of scamming on 800notes.  Their fave trick is to accuse you of check fraud or theft or bank fraud and tell you you're going to be arrested and so forth, but they can all make it go away if you pay them x amount of money.  

No complaints have been made against you. There is no case number.   If you have committed a crime the district attorney an the police would be handling it and you would be aware of the charges from them, not from some scammy debt collector. Debt collectors have no power of arrest or any influence on the criminal justice system.  You can't be arrested for an ordinary civil debt.

Contact your local attorney general.

If they continue to bother you, tell them you'll make a complaint of extortion with your local police.

this person a tammy nelson called me at work twice today stating there was pending legal action against me and that the police would be at my job at 430 to arrest me when i asked for something to be faxed to me she argued and hung up. The second call was from their Legal Team stating the same finally an hour later they faxed me something which had my previous address for 5 years ago and a bank account number that i have not had in over 7 years.

These people are scam artists they keep requesting information from me regarding a family member. I refused to give them any information and told David the caller on the other line any subsequent contact would be deemed harassment. If they continue calling (and I'm sure they will) I will record every call and then start a lawsuit for harassment.

keeps calling me at my job.. wont give me their mailing address.. kept switching me to other people when i sternly asked for a mailing address for the company..

these people call my work number and harrass me and have been told not to call.. my boss said that she has instructed the office staff not to put calls through .. yet they continually call. i told the lady that i was gonna report these harrassing calls to the police department.. they wont give you a mailing address.. or any information.. therefore, it is a scam.. dont get took!  APG is Frauding!
