- pissed off in MN| 5 repliesThis number calls me 5-6 times a day and when I say I am reporting them to authorities and to take me off the call list the man said "GOOD you do that, I will put you on the list so we call you 100 times a day [***]". They are asking for my social and bank information to take care of a loan my brother has taken out; however my brother is getting the same call but saying its regarding a loan I took out. Neither my brother or I have taken out any loans!
DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE they are also associated with these numbers as I have received the same call from this number and these numbers 855-473-0348 and 855-605-8361- Caller: some legal company
- Call type: Debt collector
- Angoradebbs| 2 repliesThey are IPS. They are not a legal organization. They are a pay day loan "debt collectorcollector" . There is another thread about this company that is associated with the number 855-473-0348. A lot of ppl are getting calls from them. They have been reported to the FCC. I reported them and was advised NOT to return any of their calls. Reputable debt collectors don't call all day (3-4 or more times a day) and they are not allowed to continuously contact third parties either. According to another thread, this IS a scam. They ring the phone off the hook (harassment), and use fear tactics and intimidation in order to extort money from ppl whether they owe it or not. Don't answer the phone and block their no. File a complaint with FCC, the BBB, and your state attorney generals office.

- Alice Stallings| 1 replyA representative stated I owe money from a payday loan and are representing my case number. They knew my name, address, bank and SS#. He was aggressive and persistent, and wanted money to help me avoid court fees.

- AMUSEDThis number is persistent , I will give them that, daily calls, I mean daily calls, I am already waiting for todays call.
They never leave a message.
My thing is , I don't answer if I don't know who you are, and if it is legitimate, they will leave a message. - brian stoeckerbeen calling for months saying my wife has an active case file and it will go to their lawters and review board
- Call type: Debt collector
- Dave replies to Alice StallingsThey fraudulently obtained that information. Do not give them anything. They are scammers. They are not lawyers or even a legitimate collection company. Any case involving the courts, you will always receive a certified letter from the plaintiff, not a phone call asking for money. International Processing Solutions is the name they are using from a legitimate company they stole the name from. Block the number and any other number with an 855 or 844 area code you are unsure of.
- GmaThey call me with same scam. Claim number yada yada. I don't owe anyone.
- Caller: Don't know
- AnnCalled me claiming that i took out a loan with my bank online. When i told her that this never happened she wanted to know all my info. If i took out the loan you should already know. Told her then go ahead and sue me.

- ScookI finally got tired of their calks for a Lisa Patron. I pressed the button to speak with someone and the line disconnected. I called back three times. The first time, someone picked up, didn 't say anything, then hung up. The second time, someone answered. I mentioned that they call everyday, he quickly said we'll take you off the list and hung up before I could say anything else. I called back a third time to make sure they really do take me off of the list. The lady checked my number and then acted if she was going to take me off if the list. I could hear a ton of people in the background. She did mention my name which made me a little nervous.

- Tired of the ScamsDo not call these people back. I have filed a claim with the FTC. If you google International Processing Solutions you will find they are not a debt collector. I called them and they are fighting this also but since the operation is running outside the US they are stuck. I have asked the scammers every legal question that they must provide answers to and they cannot answer one. My favorite is their address is private. Debt collectors must give the person their business address. They will also change which number they call you from if you block their numbers. People please don't fall for this scam. Don't answer their calls and hopefully they will disappear.

- TR| 1 replyThese people have called my phone daily and being I dont recognize the number, I never answer. This morning I decided to answer to see who they were. They asked for my husband and then proceeded to tell me without confirming any info of his identity that he was past due on a payday loan which he has NEVER taken one out. I told her to never call my phone again and she said "We will have him served to sue him in court and this is the number on record, we will keep calling you everyday" and hung up. Complete scam for a loan that was never taken out.

- WolfmanJack replies to TRIPS is a known criminal enterprise pretending to be a debt collectors. Not sure if they are associated with SAR & Associates in Florida but the 2 names pop up a lot in the same number threads.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

- KimI blocked them from my home phone. So they keep calling my husband's work cell phone from the county. I don't know where they got that number since I don't put it on any paperwork.

- JamieBRG called me first regarding a bogus payday loan, reported them to BBB for aggressive tactics, threatening to take me to jail. so day after they recived the complaint from BBB, IPS is now calling on same bogus loan.

- Diane BrownThis number keeps calling my phone each day
- Marla replies to AngoradebbsI have been getting the same phone calls, called them back the other day and refused to give them any information. I have no pay loans out and pulled up my credit report and everything is up to date with my credit report. I wish there was a way to get them to stop calling.
- StaceyThey have called me twice this week. I never answer calls from people that I don't know, especially if it's not a local number. They won't leave a message. I don't have any outstanding debt, so it that's what it is, it would have to be a scam. Maybe the next time they call I'll answer just to have a little fun :)
