Scam

This is a scam. We should start a movement to have these idiots punished. Start a yahoo thing agaist telephone companies for allowing this. Threaten to boycott them. Write your government rep. Fwd your phone to them. Maybe then they will get the message

These people call my house everyday!! How can i get my phone number removed from there calling list?

Call display showed "Airmiles Alliance". I never answer 855 calls so I ignored.

You can't. Best you can hope for is that if you're on a Do Not Call List they eventually get the message, but they tend to be useless with regards to calls originating in places like Pakistan.

Someone has been giving these idiots my personal information and unpublished phone number. Does anyone know who that might be? It's not my phone company.

Foreign companies (those outside Canada) legally use the 'Do Not Call List' as a prospect list. By adding your number you may actually get MORE calls. The Government of Canada is aware of this.

These illegal callers use dialer's which do not recognize the fact that you might be unlisted or on the DNC. They are set up with blocks of numbers and of course, being illegal and not obeying any laws what so ever, they will continue to call. Don't pick them up and answer, don't push any buttons. In fact the best thing you can do is as quickly as it rings and you can id, turn it on and turn it off ..  

Some cell phones already have call blocking now, others you can get free apps for that. If its a land line, then you can get a call blocking device or phone.. Amazon does have a nice selection of both.  It doesn't need to cost you a couple of hundred though.. The T-lock Incoming PRO Call Blocker sells for under 60 bucks on Amazon and can block up to 1500 numbers.

I just got a call from them, They called my cell and asked for me by name. They said they are a credit card company.

They called my cell. I didn't pick up unfortunately they will call again with a different number.

This guy said he was from Alliance calling with an Air Miles promotion in conjunction with American Express.  I only answered so I could tell him to foff.
