This number has called me about 20 times the past 3 days.  I never answer and they never leave a message.

Listed as Private Caller - never leaves a message.

called them back, says that they are a breast cancer charity

This number is calling me as late as 9pm and as early as 8am.  Listed as Anonymous, sometimes I pick up
the phone quickly and then hang it up but they just keep calling. So tired of it.

Called back to see what this was about. Amer Inst for Cancer Rsh. They rate 1 star out of five by a charity rating org:

American Institute for Cancer Research (operating under various names) just made the 5PM news. They are cons who have ripped off $87million form soft touches. 99% of the $$ went to a husband wife team. Pretty ballsy that their minions are still calling.

Call  8AM and another 8:45pm.

Block them --- scammers.

AICR has now used 16 different numbers to call me to try and scam me out of my money.

NEVER ANSWER THEIR CALLS AND BLOCK THEIR NUMBER IF YOU CAN!!!

1-855-299-1513 is not a valid number. If you are sure that you got a phone call from a number beginning with this prefix, the caller may have 'spoofed' caller ID.

id as # unavailable.  It seems that every spring these charties come out of the woodwork looking for
money.  Three such calls in two days.  I don't trust them.  Give them money and dozens will start
calling out of the blue.  Deleted.

The caller read quickly from a script about raising money for cancer.

I listened to part of the script, then said "this is a scam" and hung up.

Called Saturday 4:00PM.Machine picked up after second ring,they hang up.

No number appeared on the caller ID or I wouldn't have picked up. (Don't know why it happens at times!) I still let it ring 4 times - usually enough, since the computer is robodialing multiple targets, for the next victim in the chain to pick up.  I walked to the bathroom as I counted rings and when I hit the talk button and saw the 855-299-1513 number I held the phone above the toilet bowl. When the AICR bozo picked up . . . well, . . . I hope he was mildly amused when he heard the flush!

I have blocked, so far, seven numbers that have either called me or been posted by others that have received calls. Any "charity" or any other alleged business, survey, political, etc that does not display their name and cannot be reached on any type of call backs is definitely a scam and should not be acknowledged.
