- John| 13 repliesGot a several calls fom this number asking me to accept collect call charges and then says to call 1-800-943-2189 for customer support. The 1-800 number is for Infinity Inmate prepaid services.
- Deanna replies to John| 12 repliesThank you so much! I just got the same call! It sounds official, but stay away! It's a scam! Thank you for verifying this.
- Bill| 4 repliesI got this too... Its an inmate calling you from a jail. I guess if you don't know anyone in jail then it could be an inmate trying to mess with you, he calling random numbers. It gave an option to block future calls in the menu. If you do know someone in jail then you probably want to take that call though.
- mick8553135636 received a call from these plp at 01:00 in the morning!! An they left no message??
- AmyThis number called my cell phone at almost midnight. I let voicemail answer & it said call customer service back at the same number.
- La WandaThis number calls my cell phone almost every day but never leaves a message. I don't answer or return calls if I don't recognize the number, so I don't know the purpose of the calls. However, the calls are annoying and are unwanted . . . and I'd like them to stop.
- MelissaThis number is a inmate calling from west feliciana work release jail in Louisiana. It's the company the jail switched over too.
- Nicole| 3 repliesI received a collect call from Angelina county texas, from this #.
- Mike replies to Deanna| 3 repliesDo you know it's a scam or... ? Could it be actually someone trying to reach you from jail?

- Disgruntled PostmanI got one also. Half of a message on my machine - their recording must start when the call is answered.
I called this number back (as per the recorded message) and found that somebody from "X Police Dept" was trying to call. I asked if this was a police officer or a prisoner at the jail, and Cust Service replied "the jail."
I said I don't mind a police officer calling, but I didn't want any prisoner calls. Cust Service said she would block my number.
I said thanks, and ended call.
<red>Again, this is a call from an inmate at the local jail. All you have to do to block them is tell the nice customer service agent to block your number. </red>- Caller: Infinity
- robingayle replies to Deanna| 3 repliesIt isn't a scam. It's so you can recieve calls from a family member that's in prison for free. They won't call you unless you registered your number with them. They are calling to verify that the number you entered on their website is a legitimate number. I repeat, it's not a scam. They don't want anything from you.
- CarlosDon't call me please.
- Red| 1 replyDO NOT IGNORE THESE CALLS-Not a scam! If you don't know anyone in prison, then someone you know probably just got arrested for one reason or another. This is a company that prisons and jails alike use so inmates/detainees can get in touch with people they need to reach. Possibly to help them out...you will need to have a credit/debit card handy as it is a collect call service.
- IrritatedHave received numerous collect calls--recording says "collect from Jordan at DeWitt Co. Jail" Said to press 3 to block calls, but that does not work..
- Caller: Jodan-DeWitt County Jail
- this is a scamScam mimicking the real thing. Don't give them any personal info! Report number to authorities.
- sarah replies to Mike| 1 replyIt is not a scam... It realy is someone calling you
- LotsaLahtiI received a call from this number stating that it was a collect call from an inmate at Falls Co, TX jail. I could not understand the name of the person making the request. I pressed 1 to accept the charges then I received and automated message telling me that I needed to set up an account to receive the call and to have my credit card ready. At this point I hung up - I'm thinking that I can accept collect calls on my land line phone without having to provide a credit card number. I did call the number back and it seems to be a legitimate service.
- Caller: Infinity Inmate Pre Paid Customer Service
- CeceliaIt's not a scam. Its someone that has been arrested trying to call you to let u know they are in jail. The first call is usually free. And if the Inmate has a calling card the calls are free. If not u can set up and account so they can call you. Its a company out of Texas but Louisiana and Texas jails use this company so inmates can make calls.
