- Me| 3 repliesI just received one....at an old work number of mine that I haven't been at for 4 years. Not sure who it is.
- whosurgalI did just now and it doesn't tell you anything about the company. Wanting bank info, they must be crazy
- DenotraThey keep calling me.
- fm4594I just received that call someone name Adam Richards and he never said what company he is calling from that it's a urgent matter and I have 48 hrs. to call him. When you call the phone hangs up. I wish this scammers would find another occupation and stop trying to take from people trying to make a living by working a real job.
- Caller: No name
- Anonymus| 5 repliesI just received a called from this number and they indicated I needed to call as they had been presented with some claim in their office. If I did not respond, it would affect any banking relationships. Sounds a little fishy to me.
- no need replies to Anonymus| 1 replyOh Wow - I just received the same exact message. I will not be calling.
- Ac| 4 repliesDidn't even leave a name or company name just something about employment verification and it would affect any banking I would have in the future.
- Guest replies to Ac| 1 replyI got same message an hour ago and it was an unavailable number.
- RAP replies to GuestI just received the same message as Ac and number came in as unavailable.
- Anonymous| 4 repliesReceiving same message (Claim, backing, check protest, etc.)
- Caller: None
- any replies to AnonymousThis is a collection agency. They have or other companies have been calling me for over a year asking for a person that is not me but somehow has my number (which I have had for 15 years). I called them back today and told them this is not his number but I have told others the same. It doesn't end!!
- Annoyed| 1 replyI get this call daily. Caller ID is 630-521-5128 but message says to call 855-317-9222.
No mention of company name or claim number. Just that I've been named a person of interest in a claim and if I don't return the call immediately, I am subject to an employment verification, and check protest. This may affect any banking relationships I currently have.
Scammers! I can't believe anyone still falls for this crap!! - No Verify| 3 repliesThis is a dialer system from Apex Resolution Group. They will say it is ARG when they call. They asked for me to verify my social and I declined since they would not specify who they were or give me their name. Since I would not verify my social they said they would mark me as uncooperative and note that I refused. They disconnected the call and that is when I looked up the number they called from. Various local numbers they use like (469)340-4125, (855)317-9222, or (617)871-0068. None of which you will get someone that is polite.
- BigA replies to No VerifyWell since they talked to you, they now must do this:
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Then, assuming they do:
You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notion of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

- NancyReceived automated message from this number with a caller ID number from 312-888-7265 stating I was a person of interest and that this could effect any banking that I do and an employment verification. No mention as to who, what company, or anything. Scare tactic to make people think they're in trouble.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Anonymus| 1 replyI've had calls twice in the past months from this Apex Resolution Group claiming it was some liability issue... asking for my exHusband that I divorced 40yrs ago, who died 4 years ago. The caller id said 617-213-1353 but the recording asked to call 855-317-9222. They leave threatening messages stating that it's imparative to call back immediately. They've said they would remove my number twice now... How can we shut these crooks down?
