rec'd call from a "locator" stating that I had 30 minutes to contact this number. He said he received some documents concerning a legal case against me.

A man by the name of Fred Woods called my relatives and said he was giving me 1 chance to clear up a domestic matter. He said he is a locator and has a case number. If you have an action against someone then send it to the court of the county in which they live in.....get a clue already scammers

My relatives and my husband also recived the same message stating that i had one chance to return the call to resolve this matter with a legal case against me

I have recieved the same msg for my dad is this a scam? I would recieved a phone call from a cell number and I thought it was fishy because she didn't state her name nor the firm she was working with

If it's legit, she would tell you both her name and the firm/company she works for! DO NOT give any personal info!!!

with F.T.C. on Mon. (877 382 4357).they were pretty convincing
but not convincing enough.hopefully no one will fall prey to this. i encourage
all to file a report with the F.T.C.

A woman name Tracy Daniels called from 714-908-4207, said she was hired to locate me. She told me that this was my last chance before court proceedure starts against me. She told me to call 855-320-1408. When I called the number, they asked me to give a credit card number to ensure payment. I was a little confused, I refused to give that information, and she became hostile. I hung up on them. I called a friend who is a civil law attorney. We traced the number and the 714 number gave us a name of Yi R. Choi and an address to Stanton. The other number showed up on this site and untracable. This person Tracy Daniels continues to call this morning. I did not pick up.

Had  a phone call from a local number stated her vname was Megan and she was a locater and I had 30 mins. to call this #. gave me file # 14211 said I needed to give them that # or they would file charges against me. I didn"t call. I be living at the same adreese for 15 years so they have no problems locating me.
She call me back 3 hrs later and ask if I had called I told her no she said charges will be file. I hung up.

I had a call from the 8553201408 asking for my sister. They said they have been trying to contact her and that she needed to call them asap. She was in trouble and charges and a claim would be filed against her. It sounded fishy and here I ended up.

Someone called me today stating the same story that is on this site. My brother is a police officer, so we traced the number. He going to see what he can do about this. The people at the 855-320-1408, claim they are not a bill collector and that they are a law firm. Do not believe them. They are a bill collector trying to do whatever they can to get money from you. If you owe money to anyone, call those agencies yourself and settle with them. Do not deal with these people.

I also received a call from a "locator" and was told that I needed to call 855-320-1408 to settle my claim before it would have to go to court.  When I called they did ask for a credit card number to ensure payment.   As suggested by Tom--I called the agency that I do owe directly and come to find out the collection agency Name (United) that I was given with that phone number is NOT the collection agency handling my case.   Thanks Tom for the good advice....

A call came today for a family member.  We were told he would have fraud charges filed against him.  I was researching the 855-320-1408 phone number when I came across this site.  I also looked up what collection people for pay day advances can and can't do.  One thing they CAN'T do is threaten to file criminal charges.  That threat is AGAINST THE LAW.  We are contacting the local Sheriff's Department and filing complaint with the telephone company.  I hope everyone does the same thing to get these people prosecuted.

I received a call from 3373760532, saying I have 30 minutes to call 855-320-1408 and that he has paperwork to serve me and was needing my address and if I didn't call he would come to my place of employment. WELL long story short I work with an ATTORNEY, I am a paralegal, if they had paperwork to serve they would just serve it. THIS IS A SCAM

It sounds to be the same guy that cheat on me dealing with a car over a year ago and took 3 grand from my pocket via western union, He sounds to be an asiatic with a bad english accent, I filled up a report with the local police of Cleveland Ohio and the FBI to prevent crime on the internet and never received a response from anyone. Now I am disappointed with the American Justice :(
