Received a voicemail message on my cell phone from an unknown caller ID:  "Hello, this message is intended for X, Claim number is ##-######.  We have been trying to contact you re a national order submitted to my office this morning also like for you to be advised we are retained for you to sign for notice to appear in court regarding pending litigation.  At this point you have one opportunity to contact the mediation firm to discuss this matter.  They can be reached at 1-855-328-4620.  Your claim number on the order is ##-####.  To be perfectly clear with you, you are being placed on my schedule for service on April 7th 2013.  Unless I hear differently I will be out to serve you at your residence or place of employment.  X you have been officially been notified."  I then received a direct call on my home phone number and was given the same information.  I called the number and was transferred to "Thomas" at Ext 1002, a "Case Manager".  He asked me to provide the last 4 digits of my social security number.  He explained that I was delinquent on a loan of $### received during the time period of 2010-2011.  He claimed that payment had not been made due to non-sufficient funds or closure of the bank account.  He claimed the name of his company was "National Arbitration Services".  He also claimed that official notice had been sent to my home address and signed for both times.  He did not provide the name of who signed.   I asked for the name of the lender and the original amount of the loan.  He said he could not provide the name of the lender and that the amount of the loan was $### and that $#### was due reflecting penalties and fees.  I spent the better part of the day reviewing my bank statements for that time period.  I find in each case I had made payment in full.    I called Thomas back and shared the results of my research and he first asked me to fax the documents to 716-691-3209.  Before I did so I provided him with the loan number at which time he claimed the loan numbers I referenced were incorrect.  I asked him what next steps were and he said I would be served a Notice of Intent on April 7th 2013.  I asked him if the Notice would contain the Lenders name and he said he did not know.  I told him I had done as much research as possible based on the info he provided and would wait for the notice to be delivered.  After I hung up it seemed fishy so I called back and asked for his company name again and his mailing address.  He said his company was “National Arbitration Services” but he refused to provide the mailing address.  He then stated that they had released my case and could no longer help me.  I called back again and spoke with a different representative asked if they had a website.  He said I should google the company name but he did not know the website address.  I was not able to find their website.
