- michelle| 4 repliesWon't answer you when you say hello how do you stopmthem from calling
- Ho Ho Hold the call! replies to michellePlease consider getting a call blocking device for land line (around $50) or an app for cell phone. They are cheaper & your cell may already have such an app built in. As soon as you start blocking number, but more importantly, entire area codes, you cut off the source of money for both foreign and domestic criminals. No pictures of Presidents for them, just camel dung in their Christmas stockings.
- Its possible| 1 replyI think this is for LifeLine (if you get a discount on your phone bill or use a free cell phone).. You have to re-certify.
I am not 100% certain though - SamBird65None since last year......the robotic voice says that we should dial a 1 to re-certify our "Life Line" phone credit. Never have done it this way, they always have sent us a form to fill in & return by mail.
- Caller: ID listed them as 800Service
- IreneCall came in on Friday, October 23, 2015, at 9:00 AM MDT. No caller ID. Latter part of the call bounced to my voice mail. Female rebocall voice said call is from LifeLine recertification for telephone and that I need to recertify by phone, Internet, or mail. I've received multiple calls from LifeLine over the past few days and always the first part of the message is not recorded by my voice mail.
- Caller: LifeLine
- SamBird65Recorded message, many times this month, saying that they are from Life Line,,,,,,,,but if you pick up they won't talk to you, and instructing you to push the #1, but I will not ever do that again. Life Line always sends a re-certify letter in the mail.
- Caller: ID listed as 800 SERVICE
- SamBird65Lots of calls from this one, but never a message.

- Poor & DisabledThis no. is for Lifeline to re-certify once a year & continue paying their phone service at a lower rate.
- Caller: Lifeline
- Call type: Event reminder
- Goin' After 'emI have received Lifeline benefits for the past few years and I can truthfully vouch that this number is, indeed, the LifeLine recertification number. I receive Lifeline discount benefits and within the past few minutes. I called the number and was quickly re-certified as required.
I had received a renewal form in the mail but called them instead; it's much faster and easier than filling in the form and then mailing it.
It is a totally automated system and the information given you must verify as correct includes some that telemarketers or scammers would most likely not have access to.- Caller: Lifeline Discount Renewal Program
- Call type: Event reminder
- Annoyed AgainRecorded message : " our records show...blah blah blah...give us your credit card numbers so we can rip you off..." do people really do this?
- Caller: Fraud, Inc
- Call type: Prank
- Dee replies to michelleI received a call from this number on 03/24/2017 at 9:00 am. I did not answer, because I did not know the number. The message stated that I will lose my internet discounts if I do not call to recertify. This call did not come from my phone company. I blocked the call with my Panasonic home phone.

- Tygerkat replies to RabbtThere's no guarantee this caller is actually with Life Line. Phone numbers can be spoofed. Your best bet is to not give the caller any information then hang up and call Life Line on a number you know belongs to them, such as the one on your bill. Never give an unsolicited caller personal information. Again, you have no guarantee they arecwho they claim to be.
- CatieR| 1 replyThis number, 855-332-3919 is for Lifeline to re-certify a once a year phone service at a lower rate / discount. My local phone company verified this number for me.
- Caller: Life Line
- sisCalled twice this morning 8:15 and 11:16 recording stating Lifeline was being cancelled.....Hmmm Caller ID states 1-800 service. No callback # or live agent....recording only strange
- Caller: Lifeline
- Mima2017 replies to CatieRYes this is true this number, 855-332-3919 is for Lifeline to re-certify a once a year phone service at a lower rate / discount I did call back and made my re-certification by answering a few questions!
- Anonymous| 1 replyRepeated calls for Lifeline to re-certify eligibility & continue paying a little less for phone service.
My problem is that I already followed all their instructions and answered all their questions, but the calls with the same recorded messages keep on coming.
Can't they make a note in their database that there is nothing else I can do for them!- Caller: AT&T
- William replies to AnonymousIf a scammer is calling you, then Lifeline can do nothing.
Did you call Lifeline and re-certify, or did you "re-certify" when you were called? - scammeeGot a call from them. My NCID rig hung up on them because I blacklisted "TOLL FREE CALL" on the caller id. I do use Lifeline so I figured it might be on the up-and-up. Found the site "www.lifelinerecertify.org" and filled in the form to recertify. I always mailed them in but I figured I'd give it a try. Only time will tell if it worked.
