Call went directly to my VM, left message about providing details regarding a potential recall on one of my vehicles.  Since I've not received any written notification of a recall from the car manufacturer (which I believe is required by law), I'm assuming it's a telemarketer or some other scam.

Called my cell phone, went to my voicemail. Record message "This is Dawn from the consumer protection department regarding a safety recall that may have that may have been issued by the National Highway Administration or by the manufacturer. We can provide you information at no charge describing the safety related defect. So please call us at 855 333 0001 to get this valuable information and keep your family safe."

Turns out "Dawn" doesn't know this my 12 year old daughters cell phone who has yet to own a car. But it's nice to know that if my daughter does call she'll have a chance to keep her family safe.

pure scam.  My phone never rang, it went straight to voicemail.  It was a recorded message that said "This is Don from the consumer protection department regarding a safety recall that may have that may have been issued by the National Highway Administration or by the manufacturer. We can provide you information at no charge describing the safety related defect. So please call us at 855 333 0001 to get this valuable information and keep your family safe."

I received the same message from Dawn as the others. I just blocked the number.

Got a call that there was a safety recall on my vehicle. This is a scam! They asked personal information and then tried to sell me extended warranty.

There was recently a recall on my car but if they had information they would be more specific. I wouldn't be trusting Dawn and her monotone voice...

Just rec'd this vm: "Hello this is Don from the Consumer Protection Department regarding the safety recall that may have been issued on your vehicle by the national Highway traffic administration or by the manufacturer. We can provide you with information at no charge describing the safety related defect. Please give us a call at 855-333-0001. To get this valuable information and keep you and your family safe."

Another number being blocked! The number that came in on my caller ID was 513-725-0349. Sucks when you can't even answer your phone anymore :(

Call goes straight to voicemail. Same message described above.  Just blocking call.

How does one block a number? I have been looking through my iPhone in vain.

Go to your Recents call list and click on the i with the circle around it and scroll to the bottom of the screen and you will see Block this caller.  You can also do it through your voicemail.

Yup , had one of these calls this evening, I let it ring out and go to voicemail. It was for a recall notice, but they don't give details on which car.
It's a scam basically. I've already got my recall notices in the mail from the car manufacturers.

robocall on my cell from   855-333-0001 caller ID said "No name" on Tuesday 4-26-16 @  443 PM.

Generic message which basically says nothing except gives a phone number - just add to your Block List

Received call from 855-333-0001 recall verification center - it's a scam - there's no recall on my vehicle but they proceeded to offer me a very expensive extended warranty - full of exclusions no doubt.  What I like t do when I have spare tome - like when I'm driving or waiting in the doctor's office - is t keep calling them back - over and over and over again - pester them - take up their time - waste it - harass them - over and over and over again.  it's cathartic..  Imagine if everyone called back over and over again to harass them!
