Fake call from Microsoft at 206-535-2361. I asked for a callback number and they gave me this number. Scam!

I received an call claiming to be from Microsoft about hackers trying to access my home computer. They called from (206) 535-2631 WA, USA. They told me I could call them at 1-855-338-6023. Sounds like a total scam!

I just got a call and they said Norton 360 was experiencing huge problems and that is why they are call all the users to fix the issues.  He said I should "run" www.showmypc and then they would fix the problems that Norton is experiencing right now.   I said I felt uncomfortable receiving a call like this and he said I should call back at 855-338-6023 and ask for Mark Johnson and that his employee ID number is 9002 and he assured me he works for Norton.
Wow, what a scam and I can Imagine how many people might fall for this nonsense.
Of course, I went right to the Norton site and there is no mention of any system wide issues and also my Norton 360 seems to be working just fine right now.
Then I went to this site to report it.  Hope this saves some one!!

call from 305 224-1089. difficult to understand as English was not this guy's first language. dan or mark johnson or samson. He wanted me to call him back when I was at my computer at 1-855-338-6023. Being very skeptical, I googled this callback number...sure glad I did!

I got a call from this same "company" today. The gentleman had an Indian accent and said his name was James Walker. The number on my cell phone indicated the call originated from Homestead, FL, at (305) 224-1089. Mr. Walker indicated he was represented Microsoft and Norton. He stated my computer had been infected with a malicious spyware program that would crash my system if I didn't download his patch. I immediately knew this was a scam and did not follow any of his instructions. I requested Mr. Walker's direct phone number, and it's 855-338-6023. He was very pushy and did not appreciate that I refused to comply with his instructions. I said thank you for the alert, but I would call Norton from the phone number on their official company website if I had questions. I hope no one falls for this scam.

This happen to me today. A man call my phone and said he was working for Dell technical support and said I had a lot of virus on my laptop. He kept saying that if I didn't clear it it will mess up my pc.  He said i need 20 dollars today. I told him i dont have any money. Then he said hr will call bsck tomorrow. He call from a unknown number. He told me if i need to contact him call him at 1855 3386023. He even gave me hud id number. I hope he do call back tomorrow because he will get fuss out. So I didn't know it was a scam so I did want he told me too do. I shouldnt did it. So now my pc is affected. I contact dell and they will be sending me a CD to clear my pc. I will never do it again.

told him my son worked on computer and no hacking he had all my personal info  i refused  he said he in a moment could show me    thinking i could tell my son where the problem was in a few clicks and numbers he was in my computer showed me some red ! then he wanted 275.00??for a program to stop the hacking  i have no money to pay he said he could not add it to my prefered Dell account get a one time card and call back giving them the number  i have no money my account is handled by payee and they do all my payments even thought the account is in my name they do the paying...today he called and said to let him enter the protection anyway i said my son has my computers and is checking them then he thanked me and hung up...
